A film crew for an exploitative paranormal TV show heads off to investigate claims of alien abduction and pregnancy, but soon come face to face with a far more hostile threat than they imagined and must fight to escape the alien beings in the area.A bit of a weird one, in that there's parts which are absolutely infuriating and others which are abnormally fun. The set-up with the brothers on the farm, their backwoods behavior and the general amount of time spent on them horsing around on the farm trying to get the footage started, are just plain irritating and make it a real chore to try to get through, despite an odd gag or pun that gets a chuckle. That it's what starts the film off is not any helpful, but once it gets to the creatures out and about, it's a bit more easier to take, letting loose with some nice gore gags and the splatter becoming really enjoyable as a result. The frenetic pace certainly doesn't hurt, and neither does the nice action scenes to help it along. It still thinks it's way too funny all the way through when it's really not, but it has enough hilarity to make it worthwhile.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, Full Nudity, Rape, sex scenes and violence against animals

Evil Aliens starts as Weird Word TV show presenter Michelle Fox (Emily Booth) gets an ultimatum from her boss (Norman Lovett) who says get a good story or get fired, Michelle has a potential story about a girl named Cat (Jennifer Evans) who lives on a farm on a Welsh island & claims that she was abducted by Aliens & impregnated while her boyfriend was murdered. Desperate for a scoop Michelle & her crew travel out to the farm & discover that Cat's story is true & the evil Aliens return & the human inhabitants of the island have to fight for their lives as the Aliens kill every living thing they come across...This British production was written, edited & directed by Jake West & is a full on splatter horror comedy that is surprisingly quite good, I certainly won't be giving it eight or nine out of ten like some on the IMDb but it's a good effort & pretty good fun if your in the mood for a gory sci-fi horror that doesn't take itself seriously & has a few laughs. The film has a fun story about various over-the-top character's including a UFO geek, some inbred Welsh farmers & a mad sound guy trying to survive when killer Aliens land. The script is packed with film references & homages from Night of the Living Dead (1968) to Braindead (1992) & Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) as well as loads of other's, this is a film for fans & I am sure any self respecting sci-fi & horror fan will notice multiple references, gags, send-ups & homages. There's plenty of comedy here too, while it doesn't always hit the mark there are a few amusing scenes here & the film strikes a nice balance between horror & comedy. At about 90 odd minutes it's not too long & has a good pace, the character's are memorable & I liked the way the script splits them up & we follow them as they try to survive. I didn't think the story was that good, it doesn't really make much sense although I did think there was a quite clever twist ending which I found amusing.Although shot on video Evil Aliens looks quite good & has nice production values for a low budgeter, the CGI computer effects although not brilliant are alright (well, except for that awful explosion at the end). There's lots of gore here too, there are ripped-off arms, ripped-off heads, shootings, someone has a drill like Alien anal probe inserted, stomachs are cut open, legs are ripped-off, a guy is raised up on a stake, there's a gory scene involving a combine harvester & there's loads of blood splatter. There is an outrageous sex scene between a guy & a triple breasted Alien female that has to be seen to be believed. One problem I do have though is that some of the set-pieces are very badly edited with quick cuts & annoying camera angles which makes things difficult to follow with knowing who is who in particular. With a supposed budget of about $1,800,000 there's plenty of set-pieces, special effects & gags on screen. Filmed on location here in the UK. The acting is alright & hot looking telly presenter Emily Booth stars although she acts like she is presenting a TV show rather than trying to be natural but that doesn't really matter.Evil Aliens is a fun horror comedy with lots of bad taste gags & gore but not much of a story & it did leave me feeling a little empty once it had finished, as long as you don't take it seriously & enjoy the horror or sci-fi genres then you could do a lot worse than this. Better than I expected & well worth a watch.

Evil Aliens owes a huge debt to Peter Jacksons early films Bad Taste and Braindead.I must confess to never enjoying those films particularly and i say the same about this.Jake West is a director who clearly lacks inspiration of his own and chooses to steal from those whom he looks up to.I lost count of the amount of times a major Hollywood film was quoted most notably James Camerons Aliens. The amount of blood and gore on show here isn't funny either, the latter end of the film becomes tired and dragged out.Maybe it would have worked better as a short film. The actors a poor, the direction is weak and the plot is non existent.I can see what the director was trying to do,the homage he was trying to pay,but others have done the same thing a lot better than presented here. 4/10

It's difficult to describe the tone of this movie, which walks somewhere between "Shaun of the Dead" and "An American Werewolf in London". As other reviewers have stated, it is perhaps most similar to Peter Jackson's "Brain Dead"/"Dead/Alive". If you like this genre, you'll probably love the movie. If you don't, you won't get the humor and the whole thing will seem infantile and disgusting.I'm not sure what the budget was for EA, but the director and producers did a pretty good job for what they had to work with. The CGI alien ships are a bit distracting, but the CGI crashes and explosions are pretty hi-quality. The practicals aren't bad either, though you wonder if it's really that easy to pull arms and legs off (TFIC).The homages to other films come about every three minutes, so you do have to decide if you're going to consider them to be rip-offs or loving tips of the hat. I personally think it would make for a great drinking game..."OK, that's from 'Evil Dead' so everyone take a shot." The acting is about par for these types of films, but much better than most modern B-film horror. The Welsh farmers are hilarious.Check it out. My girlfriend would just roll her eyes at it, but I've watched it three times and it remains consistently interesting and hilarious.
