It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

Maybe the worst movie ever! Terrible ending and nothing at all is explained, total waste of time. Movie shot like "found footage" to make it even worse

OK, so here is the thing. Back in the 90's (I think the website is dead thank god), there was a website known as the Human Experimentation website. As far as I remember from hearing from it on YouTube, it mainly consisted of homeless people who would not be missed(of course to prevent people from searching for them). This website, like how it is/was known, would experiment on people's bodies in screwed up ways, but! This movie is a lot like the infamous 'red rooms' on the deep web. Though there is a relationship between the two, red rooms seem to be what human experimentation was, but more frequent/abundant. The reason this movie got to me so much was because of how real it 'can' be if you are not careful and 'do not pay attention' to what you see, do, and hear on the internet.Beware when talking to strangers, it is best they do not see your face and/or home layout whatsoever, just to be safe.*Note*Thankfully, red rooms seem to be more of a myth due to the deep web not being able to stream worth much at all, but the rumors of it do exist and we all know how jacked up the world can be. Be safe out there everyone. Though this was just only a movie, it does portray something that is very, very real.

OMG, how many relatives of the producers, actors in the movie, or brain dead people are there for this movie to have so many high star reviews? The movie is your typical shaky cam crap. One reviewer mentions in his title that this is the most original horror movie he has ever seen. Another a horror gem. I can tell you that this movie is neither original or a gem.The first half is pretty good in that it is a lead up. Sets the stage, builds some tension, and gets you ready for what's to come. The problem is the second half goes into la la land. The antagonists are not supposed to be supernatural, but they have a magical ability to break into peoples computers, sneak into their homes, avoid the police, and not get hurt. I mean how many times does she have to stab these guys and run them over with a car before they are either seriously injured or hurt? The answer is multiple stabbings in the stomach just left a stain on the guys shirt and hitting with a car didn't do anything at all. And boy, did the second half drag. It just dragged and dragged on with the same crap to fill at least 30 minutes that added nothing to the movie. There was a poor ending, with what I'm sure the writers thought was a clever twist. Unfortunately, it was neither clever or a twist. There was absolutely no closure. Yes, the ending did hint to the motivation of the perpetrators, but it never explained how they got super human and magical abilities.

This film is very reminiscent of Unfriended, another horror film entirely shown from the view of a computer screen. This one mixes in regular cinematic footage with views from different cameras (cell phone, laptop, surveillance cams, etc.) to tell the story of a woman named Elizabeth who receives a large grant to study online webcam behavior.Yeah, I know...how can I be down? LOLAt any rate, Elizabeth logs on to a specific feed that shows a woman being brutally murdered. Things go downhill for her and her friends fairly quickly from there...All things considered, I found this film to be rather good! As with virtually all found footage horror films, people continue filming long past the point where that should stop, and as in virtually all horror movies in general, the main character doesn't make very smart decisions...also, there's a scene that seems to portray what has to be one of the least secure crime scenes ever...One scene in particular towards the end seems like a great opportunity for Elizabeth to enact revenge but she doesn't take it. A bit later on, it's sort of revealed that her doing what I thought she should with a hammer RE: revenge wouldn't have made a difference anyway, which was kind of a nice surprise.Speaking of surprises, the ending...The movie takes us out of the found footage realm for this part of the film. In fact, it's the only part of the film that isn't from a cam.And it's quite the doozy! It serves to reinforce the notion that you never know what sick fetishes folks indulge in behind the relative safety and anonymity of the internet. Very disturbing ending!A really nice piece overall if you can forgive a few really stupid decisions made on the part of the main character and don't suffer too badly from motion sickness.
