Happy Feet (2006)

Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

But he can tap dance something fierce but he is despised because he sing crap he has no Heartsong. However, Mumble has an astute talent for something that none of the penguins had ever seen before: tap dancing. Though Mumble's mom, Norma Jean, thinks this little habit is cute, his dad, Memphis, says it "just ain't penguin." Besides, they both know that, without a Heartsong, Mumble may never find true love. As fate would have it, his one friend, Gloria, happens to be the best singer around. Mumble and Gloria have a connection from the moment they hatch, but she struggles with his strange "hippity- hop pity" ways. Mumble is just too different--especially for Noah the Elder, the stern leader of Emperor Land, who ultimately casts him out of the community. Away from home for the first time, Mumble meets a posse of decidedly UN-Emperor-like penguins--the Adelie Amigos. Led by Ramon, the Adelies instantly embrace Mumble's cool dance moves and invite him to party with... even the humans when he gets captured because of his unique his captures find he is amazing so thee wonder what he is trying to tell them through his moves so over fishing in the Arctic will be called off due to his the animals instinctive nature for change this is a lovely film and the sequel

'Happy Feet' won the Oscar for best animated feature back in 2006 over the much more popular 'Cars'. While both were equally good, but I do the feel the strong message and catchy music of 'Happy Feet' gave it slight advantage. 'Happy Feet' is the tale of a dancing penguin 'Mumble' who gets rejected by the society which considers singing as penguin-thing and dancing as something horrid. Mumble's singing is quite pathetic and thus decides to leave the society. Well the story line may follow the typical "odd-different guy finds his true potential and becomes hero" path still the number of interesting characters and lively songs keep you hooked. The voice- cast is splendid with likes of Elijah Wood, Hugh Jackman, Robin Williams, etc. The screenplay later delivers a strong environmental message with the penguins not having any fish to eat due human interference. But I feel the film should have been about 10-15 minutes short as the pace tedious in the first 45 minutes.The animation is simply beautiful, watching thousands of penguins dance together in a wave was really a wow-moment. 'Happy Feet' finally with heart-warming story and beautiful animation is worth a shot!RATING: [3/5]

Okay... what on earth was this? Well, it's everything a movie shouldn't be; dorky, crude, boring, annoying and idiotic, overall a pathetic attempt to jump on the animated bandwagon. I can't honestly understand why they chose penguins as the characters, I guess because they seem cute to children or something. The plot makes no sense and is just annoying: a penguin can't sing (like any other penguin I've seen in real-life), but it can dance.Uh, yeah, so anyway... there goes an hour or so of my life I can't get back, watching dumb animated penguins with creepy faces as they tap dance and sing like a bunch of feathered idiots. The female penguin is weird, saying something about a 'heart-song' whatever the heck that is.This is a really stupid movie, don't subject your kids to this. There are plenty of other animated movies out there much better than this one and I'm surprised Happy Feet has the ratings it does because it certainly doesn't deserve anything over a 3.

The movie is my favorite movie.I watch this movie with Japanese dubbing at movie theater.Dubbing cast is my favorite actor.He is Yuya Tegoshi.He is idol too.His group in charge of theme song.The song is "Hoshiwomezasite".I wanted to listen the song at movie theater.The story is tone deaf penguin.But the penguin can tap dance well.It is so cute.The penguin's name is Manble.He is emperor penguin.When he grow up,he fall in love with glolia.But emperor penguin courting sing.Manble never giveup.Manble appeal to glolia in tap dance.It is very nice.Manble wanted to told fun of tap dance.It was success.Manble was so happy.
