I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.

This movie is great. I mean it. There are only 2 things I think will keep me from liking this movie, number 1 is the era it came out in. If it came out any earlier, I would find it good, not great, but given all the schlock that only cares about being as far from 5e source material, I was surprised. The other one is my upbringing, I grew up watching peanuts shorts, and if I didn't watch them, I wouldn't recognize the peanuts tone, this movie has movie also doesn't need feel like an hour and half special. Normally when watching a peanuts short, I'm like, ugh, I don't wanna watch Charlie Brown And Lucy, go to snoopy. THis movie made me want to see Charlie Brown without snoopy. And the ending isn't one of the best, I'm not gonna spoil it, your just gonna have to watch this movie for yourself

I am a massive Charlie Brown fan and I went to go see this December 22nd 2015 in 3D and found it very cute. It is a movie that fans of the original comic strip will appreciate but even non fans will get appreciation out of it. I recommend this movie for anyone with kids. The films plot is about Charlie Brown trying to win the affection of The Little Red Haired Girl while Snoopy goes up against The Red Baron.what is good about the movie is the Animation to not only respect Charles Schulz's original drawings but to make their eyes and mouths 2D And heavy use of black lines.however the bad thing was I Felt that The Red Baron scenes were not needed that does not help Charlie Brown win The Girls affections

Note: this is a six out of ten kind of deal but I'm ranking it five out of ten just to slightly offset the current ranking. So I finally got a chance to watch this and I'm sad to report it is a letdown. I should say it is a letdown if you are a huge fan of the original cartoons and comic strips. I did not have a problem with the animation or voice actors or anything technical that took away from the pen to paper or pencil to paper traditional stuff. The actual plot/story/jokes/etc are all generic and lack any soul. All the jokes fall flat. For the first 20 minutes of the film they jam-packed in all the lovable little quarks we grew up watching in the old movies but it feels almost like whoever wrote them into the story did it like an annoying little checklist they had to get out of the way and not because they fit into the story or anything. And the stupid film keep showing Snoopy battle the Red Baron over and over again. Sure, the message of the film is a good one but the movie isn't good. It is hardy average.

I'm going to be honest. I thought this was going to be a film that all ages could enjoy, like "The Incredibles" or "Despicable Me" Obviously this film was geared towards small children. It was OK in the beginning but got boring as the film went on. I hate to say it but I found myself almost dozing off a few times while watching. That never happened to me while watching a "Peanuts" cartoon, even after watching the same ones over and over again every year during the holidays. Marcie was still working for Peppermint Patty, Lucy was still dogging Charlie Brown, Snoopy was still fighting the Red Baron with the help of Woodstock and pretty much everything else was the same also. In this particular cartoon Charlie Brown falls in love with the new red head that moves into the neighborhood and he tries everything to impress her but of course with Charlie Brown nothing ever goes right. I think with this story-line it could have been better but this film was probably put out to attract small children so there was no need for a strong plot for this film. True Charlie Brown fans might enjoy this film but as for me it wasn't what I thought it was going to be.
