Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Once you have experienced a classic horror movie all the rest is just noise and sexual innuendo.I deleted this from my collection and saved 19Gb of hard drive space for something original and not a copy of a copy of a copy with 'Z' actors, guys trying to be sickeningly cool and tough and girls trying to use their bodies instead of very poor acting ability.'Blair Witch' was a modern abomination that had some appeal but for the older generation we had seen it all before but with real actors who knew how to entertain, not the third rate amateurish mish-mash that these modern film makers think we enjoy, just how many will continue to use this Lost Camera found crap and try to pass it off as something new?

Can't watch this home cam crap. Blair Witch was a novelty, but it's over! and it's been over for a long time! No one wants to see this crap anymore. I wish these home cam movies were clearly labeled as such so they could easily be avoided. Stop with the nonsense.

It's difficult to make a found footage film about people stranded in shark infested waters that isn't scary. The situation alone is enough to create tension. As a result, I liked Cage Dive. Yeah the acting is a bit questionable and we're given a large amount of filler at the beginning, as we're introduced to the various characters. Ultimately you'll probably find yourself wishing they'd just bloody well get on to the shark bit! I guess a bit of context is needed to make us empathise with the characters, but i think films like Reef and Open Water achieves this much more enjoyably. This film is everything you think it will be. Horrendous scenes of people in distress, and the tension that comes with knowing anyone could be picked off at any moment. I particularly liked the night vision scenes. Absolutely Crazy! One criticism is that when the characters first become stranded in the ocean, they don't really seem too worried. They're clearly scared, but it seems a bit restrained. Whereas I think anyone would be utterly pooing themselves in a situation like that.Plus the bit where the Megan sets off the flare and burns down their life raft is just exquisite. All in all, if you like shark movies, survival movies or found footage, and you don't take it too seriously, this is a pretty enjoyable, effective and tense little film.Muito bem caralho.

Compared to farcical, badly made films like Jaws 3 & 4, or the utterly atrocious "the Shallows", this one was OK and certainly watchable. Obviously you have to suspend a degree of disbelief with these movies since modern technological and safety requirements would have meant survivors of a boating accident such as this being picked up fairly quickly. Anyway, the plot involves 3 Californian friends off on a trip to Australia ending up together in the frigid waters off South Australia after their shark-diving boat gets hit by a freak wave and sinks. And whilst the sub plot of the romantic relationships between the brothers and the girl soon becomes tiresome, their fears and the good old fashioned suspense of not knowing what's beneath the water, do certainly work. The "typical hysterical woman" thing though is silly and whilst it was arguably needed for the plot to take a turn for the worst, overdoing it just detracted from the movie as a whole. I was almost hoping she got chomped by one of the Great Whites as it went on.On a different aspect, other directors and producers please take note of the SPARSE use of sharks in this film. Less is more! The sharks here are not portrayed as mindless creatures of the deep with some sort of demonic, premeditated desire to hunt down and eat humans and only humans. And whilst they do certainly attack and kill survivors, it's not "over the top" compared to most Hollywood shark films. 6/10
