This franchise has veered so far away from its core essential that the recent couple of releases hardly should wear the title "Hellraiser" any more.The storyline here was about two detective brothers chasing after a deranged serial killer. While the Cenobites and Pinhead himself were but a mere backdrop put in here to justify it carrying the "Hellraiser" title.The acting in the movie was actually good and they had some nicely talented actors and actresses to portray the various roles. However, the lack of Doug Bradley as Pinhead just takes away everything that is "Hellraiser". There are certain iconic actors who solely should portray specific horror characters, Doug Bradley is one of those.The special effects were good, and there is a fair amount of violence and blood throughout the movie.If you are expecting a proper "Hellraiser" movie, then you will not find it here, as the franchise lost its bearing with the countless releases throughout the last 10 years or so, hardly worth the time or effort.

This is a movie that I waited for a lot of time, unfortunately it was not exactly what I expected, the film has very high points that makes it a great movie in the series, compared to 8 and 7 this one even deserved an Oscar XD, but it has terrible failures, first of all, speaking good things, the best was the setting, this new pinhead this magnificent, that actor was great, even the voice is similar to doug, other things, they brought parts of the first movie and several classic monsters, the amount of fanservice is great, it's cool to see that it was not a noob director who made a random movie and only used the title of the series, now comes the negative point, the plot is too shallow, and I have all the time a sensation of "I've seen it before", it reminds me a lot of hellraiser 5: Inferno, so less confusing, the story does not hold and the movie ends so fast that it seems like a short film, there is no time for you to get excited It is not bad, but is far from being great, at least shows that the series has to be good again, who knows next time with a stronger script and more money ... this one I do not recommend, but also not I think it's a waste of time if you enjoy the entire series.

Grab a 4k camera. Point it at a freshly painted wall and record. Now play this footage back and watch. Note it would be unfair to compare this movie to paint drying. Painting can sometimes be very rewarding.

I am a big fan, and this movie was the last shot. It killed the image of hellraiser forever.
