This is easily the most creative idea for a movie I have ever seen, but just as important; it's the funniest. If you like the Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla, Crank Yankers, and just prank jokes in general, let alone an on-going rank that lasts over 11 years to create this masterpiece, this movie is for you.If you think any specific scenes in the movie are not real just go ahead and post it here. As many times as I have seen it, I just don't think it's possible for Perry to pull the majority of the movie off if he knew it was all a joke.Cheers.

Perry got into an Auto Accident on December 6th, 1979. Three weeks after he got his Drivers License. I was in a Coma and Hospitalized at Loma Linda University and woke on December 25th, 1979. His fathers birthday. He stayed in the Hospital until Febuary 23rd, 1980. September 4th 1983 Perry and his Mother moved to Costa Mesa, Ca. so Perry could attend Coastline Community College for the Tramaticly Head Injured. Then in Febuary 1988 Perry and his mother moved back to Tarzana to help Family matters. Now Perry works a day job for his Cousins at Master Graphics Printing in Reseda, Ca. and also helps his Aunt and Mother with Managing an Apartment Complex. I also do Extra Work on Film sets and so Stand Up Comedy. To include, to this, I also Host Rock Concerts and in the past have put on Rock Concerts and Booked Clubs from as far North as The Majestic Ventura Theater to as far South as The Couch House in San Juan Capistrano where I booked Opening acts for Leslie West's Band "Mountain."

Previously I had thought that the highpoint of Bobcat Goldthwait's career was going to be Hot to Trot. Boy was I wrong. This is the funniest thing I've seen on TV for as far back as I can remember. I'm still laughing about it while I'm writing this. I was crying and punching my pillow and wishing someone else was watching it with me besides my dog at 4 in the morning. Now I don't want to build it up because then you might be let down. I know how people can say, this was SOOO funny then you go see it and you're like, it wasn't that funny. So...this wasn't that funny. But let's just say it was good enough to make me instantly look it up afterwards and get a membership on IMDb in order to leave a comment about how amazing it was. If anyone ever reads this...My God. This show. I can't believe it.

One word--hilarious! Despite what you may have read from one other IMDb user, this is a positive and funny film that has done more for the unwitting lead actor, Perry Caravello and his career than anything else. Clever and amazing in its duplicity, this movie is one of the best comedies ever made!Without giving too much away, everyone in the film is in on the joke except for Perry. Led to believe that he is the star of a major motion picture, Perry soon reveals the rude and annoying personality that has probably helped prevent his successful entry into 'real' show business over the past decades. The fact that Perry remains completely unaware of the trick being played upon him (the producer of the film is named John Quincy Adams and production assistants unflinchingly introduce themselves to Perry as 'Frances Farmer' while even 'Ansel Adams' shows up on the set to photograph Perry), only serves to amaze the audience as to how dumb one actor can possibly be.Do yourself a favor and ignore those who criticize this film as mean-spirited--the fact that we now know the name Perry Caravello is proof that this film only served Perry Caravello's unrelenting self-serving personality.
