That was an excellent one.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Alan (Robert Mailhouse) and Laura (Alison Eastwood) are married. After a night at the strip club with the boys, Alan picks up a stranded motorist. She turns out to be a hooker and he gets arrested for a bj. Laura throws him out. Brent (William Ragsdale) and Danny (Jonathan Silverman) are his friends. Allison (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and Terrianne (Jessica Lundy) are her friends. Danny considers that it is "Just A Little Harmless Sex".This is a lot of he says, she says. The structure is too static which makes it kinda boring. The dialog ranges from sitcom level to rom-com level to sometimes a little deeper. While I love most of these actors, Danny is a superficial douche and Brent is also one to a lesser extent. Alan and Laura are a bit too bland. Allison holds some potential because of her feelings. In the end, there is no compelling story and there is simply no tension.

Spoilers herein. We all want to be teenagers and some films are built to pander to that drive. The teenage condition is one in which all things are subservient to sex, but sex isn't something you actually do. It isn't something that is a component of a relationship but something that defines it (and life). It is how you define yourself. Friends exist to talk about things, and since all things ultimately are part of that prime mover, the topic is always sex in some form. How to engineer a movie for this? Talk talk talk about sex -- don't do it. (Have a strip tease with no stripping.) Have some minidramas on the order of `going steady' and `breaking' up, but cast it among grown-ups. That's because the target audience wants to be kids but doesn't see itself as kids. Have lots of `raw' talk. Have some minor misunderstandings and difficulties that only become large because they have been talked about with friends. Have opportunistic crushes.Denote the fact that we are generation-hopping by having the `Mom' be hot and `in play.' Don't have any redheads because redheads are serious stuff (in movies).Ted's Evaluation -- 1 of 4: You can find something better to do with this part of your life.

If you would like to see a very bad episode of Melrose Place done by some very poor actors trying to be comedic...then rent this flick. This is one of the worst movies I have EVER seen. I have never felt the compulsion to enter a comment here before but the producers of this movie duped me and I want revenge. The box for this movie has snippets of reviews praising this garbage.... don't be fooled. The 'plot' is anorexic. The 'acting' is frightening. I actually felt sorry for the performers, knowing that at one point they had to sit through a screening of their work. What a waste of time and money by me and the makers of this flotsam. Boo.

Found this movie to be a perfect Sat evening rental.....some light comedy (a few very funny scenes) added with some drama, and a pretty good cast. It is not Shakespeare, that is for sure...but what is?The only glaring problem was a stage-hand's head popping up at the bottom of the screen during a particularly good scene towards the end.
