There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

Friday the 13th is my all time favorite horror slasher film off all time. "Friday The 13th" that started the 80's boom of Slashers, and became a franchise it is in my top 5 best favorite Friday the 13th films. It is one of my personal favorite horror movies. It is my number 4 favorite "Friday the 13th" movie and my all time favorite film in the horror genre. Adrienne King is my favorite the final girl she is a bad-ass incredible heroine in the franchise. They aren't movies like are this one today.I love this movie to death and it is instant classic for me. I have the t-shirt about this movie the original film and I always wear it so much I love this film and this franchise. I watched this movie 8 years ago when I was a fan of Superntural and I have heard that actor Jared Padalecki was staring in the reboot Friday the 13th (2009) so I decide to checked 4 Friday the 13th movies: Friday the 13th the original, Friday the 13th Part 2, Jason X and of course the 2009 reboot because of Jared Padelcki and I have fun watching them. What can I say? I love this film to death I love it. I have all 12 films on Blu-ray discs and I re watch every year cause it is my favorite horror franchise and I have fun with them so much I love them. It is a great horror suspense film. I am more a fan of the sequels this film isn't my number one favorite film, but that is not bad, it is in my top fives best Friday the 13th films and it is in my fourth rank in the franchise. About the film this is a classic the death scenes are too slow very slow it is very slow paced. We never see the assailant or who does those murders but it is a great mystery who is doing the murders and I love it. When it comes one hour around the movie it self's becomes interesting, intense, fast paced and goes bloody around. Watch the last 30 min's with Betsy Palmer and Adrienne King there showdown, Betsy steals the show in my opinion. The last 30.mins of the movie is worth of watch. Betsy Palmer of the film was the best in my opinion and I really miss the actress so damn much. Directed and produced by Sean S. Cunningham. Tom Savini (From Dusk Till Dawn, Dawn of the Dead (1978) does special makeup effects for the film that I enjoy and they are great. In 1958 A tragic accident at Camp Crystal Lake a young boy drowns in the lake, while the camp counselors are too busy making out, then a little later on two teenagers are brutally murdered and the Camp is closed down. Then fast forward to 1980 and a bunch of teenagers are hired to open up the camp, despite the warnings and then one by one they are killed off.We have a beautiful cast in the film that I like such a: Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Robbi Morgan, Kevin Bacon, Walt Gorney, Peter Brouwer, Laurie Bartram, Jeannine Taylor and of course Ari Lehman as young Jason. All those actors were beautiful and excellent to watch.I love the gory, death scenes which were nice kills, the special effects were real practical and real done. I love practical effects and not the CGI's that are done today. Why are not horror movies like are this one today? Hollywood doesn't make movies like are this one today. The kills in my opinion were gory real practical. There was a snake that was killed in this movie and no she was not a puppet she was a real snake in this movie that was killed off, so the death scene was for real. The effects are really good and shows even this early, Tom Savini knows his stuff, like the throat slit, axe in the head and the epic head chopped off those are my favorite scenes of the film. Harry Manfredini makes a beautiful music score for this film. Friday the 13th the original film is my personal favorite horror film it is a great movie to watch it does kind a get slow the first hour but when Betsy Palmer appears it get's faster around. The DVD and Blu-ray has uncut version of the film which I am glad with it, I love this film to death, I enjoy it I love everything they done with the film. It is my number 4 favorite "Friday the 13th" slasher horror movie. In my opinion it is Sean S. Cunningham best film he every did. I want see any new films like are this one today. In 26. May 2017 Friday the 13th: The Game (2017) was released and I also bought Friday the 13th t-shirt with Jason's hockey mask on it and of the original film I have a t-shirt.R.I.P. Betsy Palmer, Walt Gorney, Laurie Bartram, Rex Everhart and Sally Anne Golden you are really missed. The first and the original movie get's my Bad-Ass Seal Of Approval 10/10 by me this is the one that started all the slasher boom.

After the success of John Carpenter's Halloween, every studio wanted a piece of the horror pie, which to this point had been exploitation fodder. Paramount Pictures was first. Sure, critics salvaged the film, but after $40 million in profit, no one really cared.Produced and directed by Sean S. Cunningham (Last House on the Left), this movie was envisioned as a roller coaster ride. The script came from Victor Miller, a soap opera scribe. And spoilers - but this movie doesn't even really have Jason in it!The movie starts in the summer of 1958 at Camp Crystal Lake, where two counselors sneak off and have sex before being killed. This sets up one of the many rules of slasher films: never screw in the woods. The camp closes for 21 years, but on Friday, June 13, 1979, that's all about to change. That said, no one in the town wants it to happen. When Annie Phillips arrives in town, everyone treats her strangely or acts like Crazy Ralph (Walt Gorney, who shows up in the next film and was the narrorator for Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood). She lasts for about five minutes, as she gets killed after her third hitchhike of the day. I'd say this is more of a warning against hitching in the late 1970's than I would serial killers in the woods. The other counselors - Jack (Kevin Bacon!), Ned, Bill (Harry Crosby III, son of Bing), Marcie, Alice and Brenda (Laurie Bartram, The House of Seven Corpses) - and owner Steve Christy all show up to get the camp ready. This is where you'll notice just how different fashion is. Becca and I have seen this live several times in a theater now and everyone laughs as soon as Steve shows up in his short shorts and bandana.Ned is killed pretty quickly, then Jack is killed with an arrow and Marcie takes an axe to the face. Brenda is murdered as she responds to the voice of a child. Steve gets killed on the way to camp. Before you know it, Alice and Bill are the only ones left, but Bill lasts pretty much seconds. Then we have another future slasher trope: every body is discovered, hung like trophies. Now, we have our Final Girl: Alice, who ends up meeting Mrs. Vorhees, who tells the tale of how her son Jason drowned and the horrible counselors who allowed it to happen. Much like the giallo/pre-slasher film Torso, the movie now focuses on the battle between Alice and the real killer. Alice ends up beheading her and sleeping in a canoe. As the police arrive, she has a dream that Jason rises from the water to kill her. This scene wasn't in the script, but speical effects king Tom Savini thought a Carrie-like ending would be more powerful. Another way that the film pays sort of homage to Italian filmmaking is in the snake scene. It was another Savini idea after an experience he had in his own cabin during filming. The snake in the scene? Totally real, including its on-screen death - someone alert Bruno Mattei! Some trivia: the film was shot just outside Lou Reed's farm. The rock star performed for the cast and even hung out with them! Sweet Jason? To me, the film works because of how great Betsy Palmer is as Jason's mom. It's a fine film, but nowhere near the excesses that the series would grow into. This was also the start of critics really hating on slasher films. Gene Siskel was so upset about Betsy Palmer being in the film that he published her address in his column and encouraged people to write her and protest. Of course, he published the wrong address.

'Friday The 13th (1980)' has an inherent, scrappy charm to it that's enhanced precisely because it is a little rough around the edges, coming off the coveted coat-tails of low-budget horror-thrillers like Halloween (1978). Yet, the feature does fall victim to the usual faults that plague this genre and actually creates some new problems for itself, all of which stem from the fact that much of the run-time is dedicated to hiding the killer that's on the loose. Despite the sometimes lacklustre acting - though here it's actually considerably better than it could have been - and restrictive camera-work, the movie manages to maintain a persistent level of engagement by including a number of grisly killings, made all the more believable by Tom Savini's impressive prosthetic work, and relying upon a central conceit that's rather interesting considering what it sets up and subsequently subverts, even if it is handled somewhat poorly in the end-product. 6/10

Friday The 13th came out in 1980 and stars Betsy Palmer and Kevin Bacon...that's..ya,that's pretty much it,and a few actors and actresses that barely showed there face again. The film follows a group of camp counselors at the now famous Camp Crystal Lake as someone watches them, killing them off one by one. Like Halloween,Friday The 13th is an amazing horror film, some people have said that this film is just another 80's type horror film that didn't need another 9 sequels and spin offs, one remake and one canceled spin off but I think this as well and Halloween and Nightmare On Elm Street were the three best horrors series's ever. Something, now this doesn't really have anything to do with this but I wish Leatherface got a big bunch of movies and was as good as these three because, like, come on! He's a mad man and I wish Ghostface,Pinhead,Chucky and even Reverend Henry Kane would get there own franchise..but,anyway,sorry,going back,Friday The 13th is a brilliant classic, definitely watch it but,I'm pretty sure you all have!!
