Strong and Moving!
Better Late Then Never
A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Couldn't even complete the movie, terrible acting, the plot is all over the place, and I have never seen a more uncharismatic protagonist ever. I could've given it 10 stars if I could do it in negative
I think this movie was one of the better vampire adaptations of recent years. Yes, I agree it borrowed a lot from Blade but if you actually think about it, that would be like saying that Sci Fi movie borrowed from Asimov! It is a little difficult to digress from a theme that encompasses a subject matter such as Vampires!I believe that this was well acted for the most part, there were times when you feel like they maybe could have done a little better with the lines but by the same token, as in the iRobot movie (sorry for the Asimov return!) as 'Sonny' replied after being told that a robot cannot create a masterpiece: "can you?". Unless you are an accomplished script writer how can you be qualified to pass judgement? The filmography, and again, I am in no way qualified to make statements such as those provided by someone earlier, I believe lacked a little something. Some of the camera shots seemed too 'direct', such as the one across the large dining table near the end, it almost reminded me of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.Mr McDowell in my opinion has always been under rated. It was probably because the haters of Caligula decided that he had crossed the line. However, it is difficult to find any movie that he has appeared or starred in wasn't entertaining and his presence felt. In this movie I believe that he carried the plot with finesse. It is difficult to think of anyone that could have taken that role and made it any more than he did.And then there is Mr Hauer, yet another brilliant actor who has shined on the big screen since the day he proved that he could out act anyone on the roof of a building with Mr Ford and some great music by Vangelis playing.Talking of music, wow! I thought the score was actually one of the strongest assets in this movie, pity the composer (Russ Irwin) didn't lend a hand to the editor (Matt Michael) he may have been able to piece something together that would have equally served the movie well. In fact, the editing is probably the weakest part here, the scene shifting, often times with no lead in, in my mind made me remember the old soaps; it really didn't matter because a commercial break would allow the viewers to reflect and possibly make sense of it! Sorry, can't think of anything that would better sum up my impression. In short, thumbs up to the movie, down to the haters and seriously, those of you that barrate this because of movies like Blade, keep in mind that this is a fraction of the budget and frankly the acting was as good given the fact that Mr Snipes is just a cool looking dude in the first place!
A rogue police detective in search of his parents killer is murdered and reborn the ultimate killer. Corbin Nash was doomed once Feldman showed up as a Queer, the film had some terrible actors and lines as well plus one heck of an awful plot alongside characters. (0/10)
IMDB rating really fooled me. Very poor acting, feel all actors trying extremely too hard for acting, more of a exaggerate stage play than a movie. Not a bad start, with very slow pace in the middle and a ridiculous story ending. All in all, why on earth this movie can be a 7 on IMDB?!!
