Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
Too much about the plot just didn't add up, the writing was bad, some of the scenes were cringey and awkward,
It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
It is very slow paced as the first "Lotta" movie, but don't underestimate it's impression on children - and their parents. Glimpses from an ideal world with all the little problems we have to cope with - no Christmas tree for Xmas, the chocolate shop closes down at easter... And here is Lotta with her really weird way of setting things right by just belief in herself, and sometimes doing silly things like all of her age. It is a hit for your small ones about 5-7 year age but don't miss the opportunity to give yourself 80 minutes of time travel back to the days when you were young and rejoiced in a beautiful world. 8 out of 10 - this is a must see for all kids.
