Leprechaun 3 (1995)

Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

I liked this one, beautifully well done, creative, I liked the characters in this one, great music, great story, well done.

Leprechaun 3 is the best sequel and possibly the best film in the leprechaun franchise (But at the end of the day, its still a killer leprechaun)SPOILERS AHEAD!Leprechaun 3 was released in 1995 from Trimark Entertainment. Australian born genre director Brian Trenchard-Smith directed the film, Smith is known for his horror exploits in such films as Dead End Drive-In (1986) and Night of the Demons 2 (1989). The film stars Lee Armstrong (Fraggle Rock), John Gatins (Kong: Skull Island), Marcelo Tubert (Tremors 2: After Shocks), Caroline Williams (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 2), and of course that ever talented green-thumb, Warwick Davis (Willow) is the Leprechaun.Warwick Davis returns as the titular leprechaun in this the third installment of the leprechaun franchise. For such a small menace the leprechaun fills up the screen with witty dark humor and a genuine creepiness at certain points. Davis seems to gleam right through he makeup and shoot out at the audience. Without Warwick at the helm of the character, the leprechaun would be nothing but a re-hashing of a formula that doesn't always work ... Leprechaun: OriginsThe other actor within the film definitely fit in the film. The actors certainly bring a certain cheesy camp nature to the film and that is how this materiel should be treated. A film about a killer leprechaun on the loose for his lost gold, that's crazy. The film stars Lee Armstrong and John Gatins as the two leads. Though the film is silly their performances fit perfectly within the content. Gatins at one point in the film starts to turn into a leprechaun after being bitten by the little green bastard. The idea of a person turning into a leprechaun is absurd but given the nature of the materiel and the context of the film the acting on Gatins part lends a lovely, cheesy blend to all of those scenes. Next to Gatins we have Lee Armstrong, who plays the classic B-Film girl. Though i said she is the classic B-girl one thing she doesn't do the whole movie is scream. Thank god! No, she kicks leprechaun ass in the film. She is great and it is a true shame she didn't do more acting, who knows she could have become the next scream queen.The film also features wonderful makeup effects by underrated effects artist Gabe Bartalos. Bartalos is mostly known for his work for director Frank Henlotter and his films such as The Basket Case Trilogy and Brain Damage, and others. Bartalos has also worked on other well known films in the genre like Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Texas Chainsaw 2, and From Beyond. Among his work obviously is the leprechaun films. He has worked on and done the effects for all including the first film. His effects have certain creativity and fantasy element i love about them. The leprechaun makeup is beautifully crafted and the gore and shock effects are very well done. The Leprechaun film franchise has always been one of my favorites. I not the biggest fan of the later films, these being both of the In The Hoods and Origins, they suck! But i will admit the 3rd installment is my personal favorite. The film is full of dark comedy and wonderful gore. Warwick Davis's performance is wonderful and creepy. I love the film, its a great B-Horror film.Two-Green Thumbs Up!

This is a great movie. 4.8 is just underrating it. The original Leprechaun is better. Leprechaun 2 is also better. The sixth Leprechaun movie Leprechaun movie. Leprechaun back 2 t.h.a hood. Is also better. But still this is a great movie. It is very scary. It has a great story line. It also has great acting. It also has great special effects. It is very scary. It not a 4.8 it is an 8. I can't not believe people do not like this movie. It is one of the scariest movies from 1995. This movie is a must see. If this movie does not scary you then no movie will. This not was bad has people like to say it is. This movie is scary then A nightmare on elm street and that is not easy to do. Not on the account of the 1984 original version. This is a great movie. See it.

RELEASED TO VIDEO in 1995, "Leprechaun 3" is the second sequel in the series about a hideous little leprechaun (Warwick Davis) who likes to kill those who take from his pot of gold. This one's set in Las Vegas and features a young dude who gets infected with the Leprechaun's green blood and starts to morph into a (taller) leprechaun himself (John Gatins).Although "Leprechaun 3" plays it pretty straight there's also quite a bit of camp. Regardless, it's nigh impossible to take seriously due to the cartooney leprechaun; consequently, the film is more comedy than horror. In fact, it's not horrifying at all. But it IS entertaining, and that's the name of the game.As my title blurb would suggest, "Leprechaun 3" is well worth watching or owning for the character of Tammy alone, played by the magnificent Lee Armstrong. It's great to have an intelligent, winsome female protagonist with actual and natural curves, rather than the usual too-thin blondes with chicken legs and fake breasts. Lee blows them all out of the water and her outfit here only accentuates her appeal. Too bad she left acting behind the same year "Leprechaun 3" was released (1995), but at least we have this film to remember her awe-inspiring beauty.THE FILM RUNS 90 minutes and was shot in Las Vegas.GRADE: B+ (but Tammy/Lee Armstrong rates an A+++)
