It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

When I saw Billy Drago's name in the credits, I was like, "We're doomed". But this was actually not a bad little film. it had some snappy dialog, the plot moved along at a good pace, and it had kind of a neat twist ending. So the Catholic Church (Seriously, again the Catholics? Why doesn't Satan ever mess with the other religions?) employs a half-demon hybrid to hunt down demons and people possessed by them. Meanwhile the lust Demon, Asmodeus, is impregnating prostitutes and trophy wives in order to create his children on Earth. There's is also a really silly looking succubus. Again, everything about this movie screams "Cheese", but it's a higher quality cheese than you normally expect. You know, the kind you'd actually serve with a fine wine.

I don't understand why a movie like this still receives over 4 points. Neither do I understand why there is no single review that gave this movie only one point. This movie is so awful, that I can't find anything positive about it, but a few sexy scenes. The list of negative aspects is endless. I'll list only the worst.Lets start with the main actor. The main character was supposed to be cool, but ended up being a pathetic, unintentionally parody of Blade. For me Blade has been the worst main character in cinema history. This changed. Of course an unintentionally parody of Blade is worse. The special effects are on the same level as computer-effects from b- movies in the 90's. That is simply not acceptable from movies in the year 2005. Costumes looked like Halloween costumes. Any possible atmosphere is destroyed along with the costumes and the computer effects. The plot, the conversation and all characters lacked imagination and intelligence. If you are a fan of Blade and the TV-show Angel, this movie might be to your liking. To all others: Avoid this movie at all costs.

Rough'n'tumble half-breed holy a**kicker demon hunter Jake Greyman (a superbly rugged portrayal by Sean Patrick Flanery of "The Boondock Saints") fights various forms of evil for the Catholic Church. He's assigned by Cardinal White (nicely played by William Bassett) to stop nefarious lustful hell spawn Asmodeus (a marvelously creepy and reptilian Billy Drago) and his loyal servant Succubus (gorgeous brunette knockout Tania Deighton, who sports cute little horns) from procreating with fallen Los Angeles prostitutes. Compassionate unorthodox nun Sarah Ryan (a likable performance by striking hottie Colleen Porch) helps Jake out on his desperate mission. The fate of mankind hangs in the balance. Director Scott Ziehl, working from a blithely schlocky script by Mitch Gould, loads this enjoyably silly supernatural claptrap with several rousing bash 'em up fight scenes, a decent smattering of gratuitous nudity, a dab of grisly gore, and even a smidgen of steamy soft-core sex. Moreover, Ziehl keeps the pace rattling along at a satisfying steady clip throughout this movie's short'n'sweet 78 minute running time. Flanery's scruffy, apathetic and cynical character makes for an engagingly hard-around-the-edges anti-hero. Robert C. New's slick, agile cinematography, the wailin', head-bangin' rock soundtrack, Jon Lee's roaring score, and some laughably lousy CGI effects further add to the overall entertainingly trashy fun.

As low budget horror movies with demons and hunters, this one was pretty good. Sean Patrick Flannery is a half breed and Billy Drago is evil (wow, what a surprise :) ). Evil is as evil does, but Mr Drago, at his 57 years and 86 appearances, still gets to be surrounded by lustful naked women and to lick the skin of helpless girls. The basic story is pretty cliché, with things added up from different stories of the genre: half-demon demon hunter works for the Church. But Sean Patrick Flannery makes a good role and carries the entire movie on his back.Bottom line: this was not a good movie, but as the movies in this category go, this was one of the best. Beats Blade on story and acting, but it is low budget, so no special effects.
