The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

The Three Acts:The initial tableaux: We open in Los Angeles. Frank's gym and Bernie's bodega were bombed and burned in the last film. They apply for a loan to rebuild, and are being turned down when a bank robbery starts. Our heroes break up the heist, and receive Internet and television accolades for it. Rosaria had moved to a new job in Florida. Carmen, their friend in LAPD, calls from Baton Rouge. She's getting married to Geoffrey. Her father is a generous mood, and springs for flying them in from Los Angeles.Delineation of conflicts: The reception in Baton Rouge was lovely. Then there is a break in at Carmen's family's estate. The intruders kidnap Carmen. Frank fights them, but there are so many that they prevail. The Sheriff is not interested in the help of the Bad Asses from Los Angeles. The kidnappers want 5 million USD. Frank and Bernie heed the call from Carmen's mother to find her daughter. Carmen's brother Ronald finds a clue: a Mr Buford at a racist strip bar. The guys are off on the chase, and it looks tough from the get go. The people behind it seem to be a group who has it in for Carmen's rich black father.Ronald keeps getting bullied by Kyle, the son of the Sheriff's deputy. Frank and Bernie help him out, but Earl makes the case for pacifism. The kidnapping tests that pacifism severely.Resolution: Frank and Bernie uncover some unfortunate connections. Do they have too much stacked up against them?

A franchise based on a popular youtube video? It's happened/happening, and by the final shot, it seems that there is no give up yet......for the writers at least. So this time the boys foil a robbery, the video gets posted on the net again, and they decide to take a break to the Bayou, where the comic relief woman from the second is living with her fiancée, and the bloke from Die Hard 2 and Coming To America. No sooner as you can say 'montage of alcohol drinking', the comic relief woman is kidnapped by Duck Dynasty, and is held for a tasty ransom. So it's up to the guys to rescue her, wearing ever ridiculous outfits, and fixing a sub-plot including some young lad getting bullied by a really greasy haired lad. Here's a challenge for you, watch every film that Danny Trejo has appeared in, whatever quality the movie is, try it, he has been in almost every film ever made. The man was in Heat for crying out loud, and now he's comfortable making very generic, nuts n' bolts action movies. So the best thing to do is lower your expectations, and take comfort in knowing that the two leads are endearing enough, and ignore the abysmal acting from the rest of the cast, Amos aside. It's pretty clear who the bad guy is from the upstart, the director probably forgot to tell him not to go full pantomime. So for the rest of the film, we have the two taking out the bad guys very slowly, Amos joining them in taking out the bad guys very slowly, and a silly twist that you could see coming from about ten minutes in,my hanks to some truly terrible narrative and acting. But with a title like this, what else would you expect? Its watchable enough for a Sunday morning, and it's use of stock footage from Air America is both genius, and at the same time, hilarious.Throwaway stuff of the highest order....

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. The title alone should tell you what to expect: a silly, entertaining flick with plenty of action that also brings belly laugh after belly laugh. Danny Trejo and Danny Glover are chemistry on screen. John Amos and Loni Love square out a very good cast, with Ms. Love nearly stealing the show.If you liked the first two installments of the Badass franchise, you will absolutely love this one. If this is your first encounter with Frank And Bernie and you're expecting something taut and serious, then... well... look at the title again. This is Craig Moss really settling into the franchise and kicking it into high gear. Though billed here at IMDb as an action/crime flick, the franchise is built on a comedic foundation and Bayou delivers. I hope a Badass 4 is in the works, because like the Expendables and Fast and Furious franchises, this must go on. Bayou is appropriately paced, well directed, well acted and side- splittingly funny. Enjoy!

Machete was not enough for the legendary Danny Trejo, he needed another franchise and he got it with Bad Ass.Trejo returns as Frank Vega, a badge-less old Mexican version of John McClaine who cleans up his hood the best way he knows how...by kicking bad guy butt.Joining him once again is "too old for this sh*t", Danny Glover, who proves you don't want to mess with old, cranky and don't give a...Exploiting her viable (yet small) star power at the moment The Real's Loni Love, who had a small part in the second Bad Ass, becomes the center of attention as the Bad Asses attend her wedding only to have to rescue the bride from a kidnapping.Changing the scenery of the last two movies from LA, the Bad Asses go to the popular filming location of Louisiana were they bring West Coast Justice to a corrupt small time on the Bayou.Adding to the Bad Ass family is John Amos as a Vietnam vet trying to live his life as a billionaire pacifist, until the wrong men messed with his family (Just as bass ass as it sounds) A vast improvement over the other two movies, Bad Asses on the Bayou keeps with the momentum of the popularity of the first two movies and uses a bigger budget just to improve on what has already been done. Unlike Taken 3, it does not try to be better than the b-action movie that started it and which everyone loves. Unlike the Expendables, who are also one step closer to the geriatric home, they did not need over the top theatrical action sequences to prove just because your old, doesn't mean you can't be a Bass Ass.And nothing says Bad Ass like Danny Trejo. It was a fun ride old men. go check it out.
