The Best Man Holiday (2013)

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

I sure hope that all you guys giving this movie high ratings don't have friends like the characters depicted in this movie or think that this is normal friendship. The characters in this movie are loud, selfish, self-centered, narcissistic, brash, conniving, immoral, inappropriate around children, childish, unintelligent, underhanded, and bullish. And that just describes the first ten minutes. It is difficult to watch a drama where no one is appealing or likable. There is no one to root for in his movie. Is it bad if you just want the house they are all staying in to burn to the ground while they are all sleeping? Although you could show it to your children so they can see first hand how ugly all this behavior will make you look as an adult. Beautiful house, beautiful actors, and beautiful clothes cannot hide the ugliness pervasive in this movie.

I know that I am late to party. I missed the movie in the theater. I just watched it on HBO. OMG Terrance Howard was hilarious. Morris Chestnut was just yummy. The ladies and the rest of the cast were superb as well. I loved the holiday music. I had to stop the movie to go blow my nose because I was crying so much. By now, you probably know what I'm talking about.It's not often that a sequel equals or tops the first movie. Best Man Holiday is in a category all by itself. I am so proud of everyone in the movie. Individually, they've all done well for themselves. I can't wait for the next installment. Best Man Holiday is not your stereotypical black movie. It just happens to have a cast that is predominately black. Grab your popcorn and a box of tissues and get ready for a dynamic movie experience.

Review: I wasn't really feeling this film. I found it pretty boring and the storyline was really weak. I didn't see the original movie in this franchise so I was a bit lost throughout the movie. There are some emotional scenes and the all sat cast did make the film feel believable, but I didn't find it that interesting. All of the individual storyline's didn't really seem to go anywhere, but on the plus side, I did find Terence Howard quite funny. It's basically what it says on the tin, without any frills, so if your into your urban comedies then you will enjoy this film. Personally, I did lose interest after a while, because it takes ages for anything to happen, so I woke be watching it again in a hurry. Disappointing!Round-Up: This movie done extremely well at the box office, so there is still a big audience for urban movies which is great for black cinema. Over the years, I've got fed up with these type of movies because there all the same. It's good to see the original cast come together for the sequel, but for a single person, it lacked originality and spark. The director cleverly left it open for a third instalment in this series, but I will be in two minds to watch it.Budget: $17million Worldwide a Gross: $72millionI recommend this movie to people who are into there urban dramas about a group of friends getting together for a holiday. 3/10

Wow, this is a must see movie... This movie made me laughed and it made me cry... I had to pause the movie to pull myself together , before continuing again ( obviously I watched it alone ) ... And I will watch it again and again ...laugh and cry again over for the same scenes in the movie... I totally loved the story line... This movie really contains drama and comedy... I am definitely planning on watching the 1st part 'The Best Man' again and obviously followed by The Best Man Holiday... This is officially one of my favorite movies... Terrence Howard is the comedian in this movie... And of cause Lance (Morris Chestnut ) any wife's dream ... The cast did very well, no complains ... LOVE IT to the max!!! A very well done...
