A Brilliant Conflict
It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Joke of a man... get back to rating starsigns! 20 out of a hundred! I'm guessing Lucas nailed your wife
Not only was The Goonies a brilliantly written, directed, and acted movie, but it was also so much FUN! The adventures of these kids through the underground world, while being chased by the despicable villains known as the Fratellis, are fascinating to watch-movies.ga . The Goonies is a great cinematic experience. It has everything that anyone who was ever a kid could ever want. Even the elaborate sets are very convincing.
'The Goonies' is one of those films that everybody has seen at least once in their lifetime and is something of a guilty pleasure for many. It's a rarity in that, although it's a kids film through and through, it goes down just as well (if not better) with adults. As someone who was born after 'The Goonies' was released, I don't have the same fond memories of this film as others who grew up with it do. For me, it's an imaginative and enjoyable family adventure, but not the 'classic' that it is to others. 'The Goonies' has some great individual moments and scenes but as a whole, I think there are better kids adventure films out there.
I liked this film as a kid. Good storyline, characters, humor, and action were all a part of The Goonies in my opinion. Honestly, this is the only decent film that Sean Astin and Corey Feldman were in to me. Also, this exposed Cyndi Lauper to me for the first time in my life. And now I like listening to her from time to time. The kicker here is that The Goonies 2 or whatever sequel has not happened yet. I am guessing that the past actors, writers, director, etc. are not enthusiastic enough to develop that reuniting project. Oh, well.
