I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

The parallels to "Moon" with Sam Rockwell as a malfunctioning and unaware clone are pretty straightforward. The script operates within the limits of hard science fiction although the Europa 1 spacecraft has high ceilings and interior space that would be the envy of most Manhattan apartment dwellers. Both movies unfold quietly with expertly timed revelations that don't feel like the narrative manipulations they clearly are. Other than the realistic set feeling like a sound stage, the rest of both films feel nearly as realistic as Katherine Champion's "The Hurt Locker". The less obvious comparison here, however, is to Spielberg's original "Jaws". We only received glimpses of Bruce the Shark largely because the mechanical rig didn't work. However, the ominous, lurking, suggested but unseen presence of the eventual creature raises the suspense factor more than all the industrial- sized puppets or CGI ever could. The cast does tend to blend together a bit and the dialog lacks spark and wit but the elegant and rhythmic storytelling makes up for much of the shortcomings. In short, well worth the view.

This is a TERRIBLE movie, completely unsatisfying and very irritating to watch. The characters are so monumentally STUPID! Scientist 1 - "Your radiation is at max levels, come back now"... Scientist 2 - "I see something"...Scientist 1 - "Come back now, you have to come back"...Scientist 2 - "I'm going to stand on the ice"... Scientist 1 - "Come back now"... Scientist 2 - "Oh no, the ice is breaking"...Aaaarghhh! This movie is full of these ridiculously moronic character decisions - instead of caring about the characters you don't give a damn when they die. Coz they're all idiots. The found- footage style jarring camera cuts are SO heavily overdone that the entire movie is just extremely annoying to watch. I barely made it through, having to fight urges to turn it off several times.I love sci-fi, but this is COMPLETE GARBAGE. Avoid this, you'll never get back the 90 minutes this lemon will take to watch.

I came across the Europa Report by chance while browsing trailers & was utterly astonished at the thrilling beauty of the short movie. With masterful sure-footedness, we are taken on a journey in the form of a faux-documentary about an exploratory manned mission to Europa. I was left as astonished, and more persuaded (thanks to an excellent screenplay & story) as I have been by other sci-fi films 50 x the budget it took to make the Europa Report. I sincerely hope the producer/directors return to this genre. It's so rare to see a truly intelligent, well-thought out sci-fi story brought to life like this….

Movie wasn't intriguing in the least. Absolutely no character development. Jumps right into astronauts outer space a lot of wasted time on nothing. Time better spent giving us something to care about in the story line aside from camera glitching. The ending was typical and predictable. Nothing to see here. Low budget waste of time.
