Better Late Then Never
Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction
if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Blistering performances.
I find it hilarious that all the so called "enlightened " movie critics always give these so called "simple minded" Christian faith based movies horrible reviews. They just hate the truth...like ruthlessgoat. Let's see ruthless and goat. Goat heads associated with Satan and satanic rituals and ruthless. Username fits him well. I assume this clown probably gave Broke Back Mountain a 10 our 10 for all the rot gut perversion in it. Get with it Hollywood. You hate the fact that Christian based movies always do well but yet y'all refuse to create them. It always has to be independents to do them.
The movie is just awful. I was expecting some real investigation, like "the lost tomb os Jesus" or anythign, but it is just byass propaganda with no investigation. Every opinion is taken as a fact. As absurd as it can be, you can actually see one guy saying "this is written on the Bible so it is true" and the "investigator" takes that as a fact. For god sake if you take the Bible as fact then you are not making any kind of research xD
I read the book years ago, and this is one of the few times the movie was better than the book. Well acted and good writing for a spiritual based film.
As a Christian and avid film lover this movie is more than just a movie based on the real life pursuit of answers from a former skeptic Lee Strobel. The film is a little slow. However, the historical research in Stobel's real life gathering of evidence is mind boggling. Evidence that covers historical, medical psychological, the overwhelming evidence is if nothing else an interesting view on the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ.Performances by both the lead actor and actress mix well in the pursuit. Two opposite ends twisted in the middle from their beliefs and history are done well from an actor's perspective. (A much better one is Lincoln. Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field).Film does not do the true pursuit justice, but does its job in opening the mind from all points and most importantly from the view of an (at the time) atheist.Recommend follow up films: Case for Faith (documentry), The Shack, Risen.
