He has no other choice but to take Mork, a reckless technical college student thug, as his caretaker. As Day's new caretaker, Mork pushes Day to leave his room and get out more. When a mishap occurs, Mork realizes he did not fully understand Day's fears of being around others.
Day and his family begin interviewing candidates for a helper for Day after he loses his vision. Mork stumbles across the family as he struggles to find a job after recently spending time in jail.
