The Princess (2022)
A beautiful, strong-willed young royal refuses to wed the cruel sociopath to whom she is betrothed and is kidnapped and locked in a remote tower of her father’s castle. It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
