Convict (2014)

best movie i've ever seen.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Typical prison movie. Very slow moving but the plot eventually comes to a head. Main actor Ray performed well. I thought this was going to be a high octane prison movie however it moved so slow that after an hour or so I started jumping ahead as in, lets get to the point already. As for the remaining actors, they had simple lines with so so acting. In my opinion the inmates acted better than most of the main characters.

It was OK but nothing to write home about,I wouldn't run to family/friends to say its a must see !! Did anyone notice a few of the scenes,one part was him being beaten by the guards then washed with a power hose,with the guard saying to the other "what's the matter,don't like water" same scene in Rambo,First blood. Watch out for a couple of others during the movie,if you've watched a lot of movies in the 80's & 90's you'll notice them easily. If you have anything better to do,then do. This would be OK if your stuck inside on a rainy day with nothing to do,Its OK I suppose but don't rush.If your a real prison film type,then you'll enjoy it.The guy "ray" is good in his role but some of the giants he's fighting a bit far fetched.

Before I had finished watching this movie I had an urge to write a review, now generally I'm not a review type of person, let's say I'm a bit greedy! Though generally when I have a bad experience I feel obliged to let other people aware of my situation so that they don't fall into the same trap! Where to start, honestly If I was involved in the production of this movie I would be embarrassed. I just can't understand why this storyline was used. The acting was terrible, clearly not much thought has gone into the making of this film. Do yourself a favour and don't bother, I would prefer to watch back to back seasons of water rats. I turned it off about an hour ago and I am still shaking my head in disapproval as I now am a victim of the horrible flashbacks which I can only hope don't last through the night.Some people should stop trying to make people feel sorry for them.Just saying

I really enjoyed this movie. A man goes to prison for accidentally killing someone and has a very tough time in the clink due to the warden receiving a bribe to make it so. As with most films there are plot holes. Firstly, as it was self defence due to managing to avoid a knife attack he should never have gone to prison in the first place. Next, the warden could have blamed the guards death on him instead of some other inmate.Putting those things aside I really liked the fight scenes and the way Ray deals with gang politics. All the things you want to say and do in real life would be suicide but Ray steps up and if he wasn't released would definitely be a gang leader like it or not. Its a prison film so you see a fair amount of gory violent scenes where inmates are murdered. which in itself makes you never want to be in a place like that. Loved it.
