The Seduction showcases everything the early 1980's was in a 90 minute time capsule. The newest remastered DVD release presents the film in its original widescreen format and the picture and sound restoration rates an A plus. Pro: Morgan Fairchild is her bitchy best in every scene in the movie and she is in 99% of the film. When she's not there is when the film seems not so shiny, but not to worry, those scenes only last a few seconds and poof back to more Morgan looking amazing. Pro: Excellent photography, lighting and sound. They put some money into this movie to make it look as good as possible and they succeeded.Pro: Andrew Stevens OMG he was so hotCon: Michael Sarrazan, the worst actor ever in this film, totally miscast.Con: Not enough Colleen Camp, the best performance in the film, sorry Morgan. So I say if you want to see a campy 1980's movie see the Seduction, it really is not that bad.

There's no doubt about Morgan Fairchild's (neé Patsy McClenny) porcelain beauty, especially when she's all glamorized up, as she is here. That lustrous blond hair with nary a strand out of place, That surgically perfect nose, those over-sized blue doll's eyes with those alluring black lashes. (She wears them even while swimming otherwise nude.) Her acting is adequate for a community playhouse, but her voice is that of a high school girl -- and not even a senior, but a freshman. She's one of those TV news babes and a real dish, with the figure to go with her features. It's no wonder that her neighbor, Andrew Stevens, takes photos of her naked with his telephoto lens or falls in love with her from afar before he begins to make a real nuisance of himself. Having a fan who is obsessed with you is a real problem. I know, because beautiful women throw themselves at my feet all the time, begging me to mistreat them.As is usual in these stalker movies, the cops are of no help at all, the stalker is clever and murderous, the boy friend is either away at the wrong time or disabled somehow. Occasionally, as here, he is stabbed to death just about the time he reaches ejaculatory inevitability. Then the movie falls completely apart. With her boy friend's bloody body pulled from the jacuzzi and buried by the maniac, Fairchild calls the murderer instead of the homicide squad and tells him, "It's just you and me now." It's a horn of plenty of clichés, with hands reaching from out of the frame to grab the heroine by the shoulder, accompanied by a loud sting on the sound track. There's no need to go on about the film but it does have a few good points. It opens with Morgan Fairchild swimming naked in her pool, while we listen to a romantic ballad under the credits ("Love's Hiding Place"). Another scene, rather artistic I thought, has her undress and slide into a bath tub full of lather, while Stevens gawks at her from a closet. The linkage between the murderer in the closet and the theme, "Love's Hiding Place", is so subtle that the insensitive among us are liable to miss it. There must be other virtues. I'll think of them sooner or later.

Big 80's hair, cardboard acting, Great score, some intense moments, and more Morgan Fairchild then one should see. This is one of those films that is so bad its good. I saw this movie in the theater when it was new and I thought it was great. (I was 14 give me a break) anyway, there is some really good psycho stuff in this film, and Andrew Stevens is way hot! And I must correct the other review, the crazy guy is played by Andrew Stevens and Collen Camp is wonderful as the smart ass best friend "Robin" who tells Morgan Fairchild (Jamie) that she has to fight back and stand up to her stalker! If a campy/drama movie is your style I recommend this film,Brainless fun.

This has always been one of my favorite "B-Movies" that was made with home video and cable in mind (Even though it was a theatrical release, back in the days B-Movies got theatrical runs) Jamie (Morgan Fairchild), a beautiful anchor-woman is the target of a stalker (Andrew Stevens) That's about it for the plot. The film has some truly decent moments. I like the scene where Stevens apologizes for his initial stalkings to a receptive Jamie (He even gives her flowers!). Of course, the signature scene is Stevens spying on Morgan Fairchild taking a bath. The scene works for the movie, and of course, the idea of a nude Morgan Fairchild walking about is one of the key reasons why this film was made. But for the most part, this film is dizzlingly hokey. There is a lot of unintentional humor here. My favorite bit is when Jamie reads the news off the teleprompter, and all of the sudden, the text in the teleprompter becomes a nasty note from Andrew Stevens. She accidently reads the first few lines of the nasty, naughty note in the same tone of voice she uses to read the news. She realizes what she has done, and comes close to giving a Homer Simpson "Dohhh!"
