Wow! Such a good movie.
I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.
There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Don't waste your time with this unless you are really desperate for some low quality acting and not very much in the ay of actual horror. Terrible
Campy horror hoot that makes ingenious use of its title location. Kind of The Twilight Zone meets Four Rooms. Acting, lighting, music score and scripting are all first-rate. An added bonus that it provides so many strong roles for women, several of whom appear in multiple segments. Six-part anthology starts off with a bang with the sexy send- up Aliens Stole My Boyfriend and closes with personal favorite Life After Men featuring a standout performance by a beautiful, expressive actress named Erin Ownbey. All the segments have their moments. Looking forward to watching more of the web series.
I'm a big fan of anthology films and since the success of VHS, many have tried to add their own unique addition to this fun and very entertain sub-genre with mixed success. However when it comes to Horror Hotel, I think fans will walk away feeling more than satisfied and regard this film as a very welcome addition to the indie horror pantheon. The production does an excellent job presenting a series of equally entertaining segments that flow together seamlessly and offer the perfect mix of comedy and classic Twilight Zone style horror. Also, the film contains higher than expected production values for an indie. The set design, acting, editing and sound are all top notch and closer to what one would expect from a Hollywood film than an independent. So check this one out if you are in the mood for some fun, well paced horror with a fun comedic twist. Eight stars easily given!
This compilation has a very specific tone: Camp! Kind of a Twilight Zone meets Rocky Horror Picture Show (minus the dance numbers). Love the space alien chicks ("I really am an illegal alien"). Cute and a lot of fun. Cast are all along for the ride. They keep the camp tone in perfect sync. You can tell the actors had a great time making it :) The cinematography is very good. Production value excellent. Nice wardrobe choices. Interesting music choices. This would be an interesting weekly television series. Not sure if this was conceived as a film with segments or a web series that was good enough to tun into a film. Or a pitch for a TV series. Whatever, it's fun and not a bad way to spend some time!
