What a waste of my time!!!
Very well executed
Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.
In 1973 Janne Olsson walked into a bank at Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm Sweden....I was looking forward to seeing this movie. And i was not dissapointed after I saw it. The director has captured a lot of the suspence that held a whole nation by the balls. This movie is based on a true story, and has been put together after interviews with both police, hostages and hostagetakers.some of the actors are brilliant and some are just good...I think Torkel Petersson gives the movie a boost up on the voting scale for his role as Janne Olsson.
I was first thrilled that they would make a movie about the Stockholm syndrome incident. But when the movie was shown on TV i was a major disappointment.First of all. The story in the movie are false. It has so many errors from the reality thats it´s almost funny.Second, some scenes are very overdramatized. There were no "on the second" abort the mission, when they were going to storm the bank.Third, i don´t know if its based on bad acting or just bad directing but the characters are not very convincing. So my summary are that this movie is a bad attempt to rewrite history. 1 of 5
