When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

ALIEN ABDUCTION: THE MCPHERSON TAPE is an early entry in the found footage genre, beating THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT to the cinemas by over a year and THE LAST BROADCAST by nine months, although of course it's relatively new compared to Ruggero Deodato's granddaddy of the genre, the Italian nasty CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST. So how does it hold up for modern audiences? Reasonably well, I thought. The film's pacing is spot on, with inexplicable events gradually building towards all-out terror at the climax, and the single location scenario put to good use throughout. It has dated in places, though; the aliens and their spaceship are too explicitly shown, looking like X-FILES rejects rather than an actual menace, and keeping them off the screen would have made for a more realistic production. The worst thing about this is the calibre of the acting: too many of the performances are shrill and histrionic, with a good half hour of the footage consisting of people shrieking at each other. I can't imagine many viewers would want to sit through that. Elsewhere, though, it's genuinely unsettling, particularly with its handling of unexplained disappearances. The faux interviews that pop up throughout the movie serve to build on the atmosphere but occasionally interrupt the pace. Oddly, the film this most reminded me of was that low-budget sci-fi stinker of the 1970s, THE DAY TIME ENDED.

It's official, aliens creep me the F out. They're just so damn weird and scary. After the disappointing The Fourth Kind, I decided to revisit this cheap little movie. I remembered it being campy and hokey, but apparently I was wrong. This was a lot scarier than I remembered and did have a fairly natural feel. There were some obvious attempts at character development, which got in the way, such as th forced "Oh, my sisters boyfriend is black and I'm not comfortable with this BLAH BLAH BLAH". Also some of the aliens methods were just pretty confusing, such as making two people kiss. What it does is avoid cheap jump scenes whilst gradually building to a climax of fear.

When they are in the passage, the Shotgun is shot and puts a hole into the bedroom door, shortly after the Smoke alarm goes off, someone says "Take the battery out" when they try and remove the battery, the alarm has wires going into the ceiling, thus the smoke alarm is hard wired to the electric circuit so removing the batteries would make no difference. Also the hole from the shotgun looks perfectly round. Other than that to me the film is pretty average at best, its unconvincing from some of the actors and when they are all down in the kitchen with nose bleeds etc, they are all going far over the top than you would otherwise expect.

So i saw this when i was in elementary school.it was being aired on UPN at the time and my brother recorded it for me to make sure it was that scary and i would be able to watch it. he gave the pass but at the time i kinda wished he didn't. It scared the crap outta me!!!! Now i watch it at almost 23 and well it still has a scare to it.I liked it a lot no matter that i knew it was fake or not. I wish there could be some more alien movies like this. "The Fourth Kind" is very similar to this and a lot of people don't like that movie but i love it.After watching this i downloaded a lot of Alien abduction movies but none will compare to the feeling i had the 1st time i watched this.
