A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I don't know if it was because of the subtitles or the story is just weird- but I can't see how these guys fell in love with each other. It's a weird gay version of Pretty Woman. I think the dialogues could have been written better. One guy is a stalker and falls in love with the other for no reason, like it was love at first sight and the other hates him for no reason and then they're magically in love and what to say about the end?! I can't imagine something like that being romantic. It's not just a small mistake where you can say- I'm sorry and move on. I liked the actors and the atmosphere in the movie, the story itself isn't that bad but it's still weird. The movie was for me like talking to one of those people, you can't really talk with so you try but never come to common ground.

I've been trying to think if I've ever seen a stupider and more annoying movie than this one. I'm sure I must have, but I can't remember any right now. I often disagree with other reviewers, but I can't remember another movie that got almost universally good reviews that I absolutely hated. I kept expecting it to get better, but it just kept getting worse. Both leads, even the orphaned hustler - actually, everybody in this stupid movie - they're ALL selfish, arrogant, unattractive, manipulative people, expecting everybody else to bend under the pressure of their relentless, selfish demands - without EVER showing ANY sign of ANYTHING the least bit attractive to make such a surrender desirable. If this were meant as a clinical study in extreme, unrelenting human dysfunctionality and co-dependence, I might have been able to stand it - just barely - but romance? PASSION? What movie did these people see? Not the one I saw. Not the mindless, petty, self-indulgent, tantrum-filled, grossly overwrought, hand-wringing, tear-jerking, IDIOTIC soap opera I just spent almost two hours with."Prepare to be captured and enthralled for every minute, beginning to end." Well... I was prepared, but I was not ever, not for one second, captured (unless being held hostage counts) or enthralled, or even mildly interested. And "Strong sexual content"? "Nudity"? WHAT nudity? I didn't see any, unless a shirtless man smoking a cigarette merits an adults-only rating now. What a profoundly disappointing and irritating afternoon this has been. This is the worst movie I've seen in ages, if not ever.

I just finished watching this movie and I don't have words to summarize the emotion it places on you, the roller coaster ride of ups and downs and twists. I have never seen anything like this movie. The last 30 minutes of this film is unlike anything I have ever seen or experienced in a movie in my entire life. The visuals of the last 30 minutes -- I've never seen anything like that -- I've never had that kind of emotional experience from a film. There are so many scenes in this movie that stay with you, that pull at you, that are universal. You don't need to be gay, or Korean, or anything like the characters in this film because the emotions and experiences are universal, shared by everyone. It is a must see. Do not doubt for a moment the payback you will receive from locating, buying and spending two hours with this movie. If anyone connected to this movie's distribution or production is reading this -- please put out a high definition version of the DVD. Please!

I recently purchased this film from dvdfromkorea.com & I have no hesitation in saying that it's one of the best films to have come out of South Korea in the last few years - and certainly the most memorable gay-themed Korean movie. It's also proof that a miniscule budget (of reportedly just US$100,000!) needn't compromise artistic standards. The acting is wonderful (including the superbly talented Lee Young Hoon, who is simply heartbreaking), and Leesong Hee-il's script and direction are top-notch - all the more remarkable when one considers that this was the first feature-length film for both men. Yes, the film does take an unexpected narrative shift toward the end - one that may strike some first-time viewers as implausible - but subsequent viewings should enhance one's understanding of the reasons for this change. And while it's also true that the English subtitles could have been better, I certainly had no difficulty following them.A great film - and one that I've returned to many times. I can't wait to see what the very gifted Leesong Hee-il comes up with next.
