Reach for Me (2008)

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

This movie delivers such an amazing message about life without being predictable. So refreshing to see something that hasn't been done before yet still is so captivating. Very rare to see movies that can bond such drastic age groups of individuals and to do it in such a pure and genuine way. I fell in love with All of the characters, you could really feel all of their emotions (both the good and the bad). This is a story that will touch home for many and is done in such a tasteful way. One of the best movies I have seen in years - recommended it to all of my friends! Absolutely fabulous!

I loved the movie so much. Great acting!!! It is an amazing story that is told in a perfect way. The movie makes you live and feel with main characters!!! If you see it once you will want to see it again. Ithought Seymour Cassel and Adrienne Barbeau were wonderful together. Great great great picture!!! Cast is amazing!!!! It is a wonderful interpretation of a story:))) Every time I watch the movie I live every single minute of the movie. It is a great movie if you want to watch with your second half. It's nice to see a movie with people in it who are over the age of 22 and who probably won't end up on the front page of TMZ next week on their way to rehab. This film has a mature cast who does not disappoint.Directed by LeVar Burton (yea the reading rainbow guy) Reach for Me is the story of a man at the end of his life who finds love. I thought it inspiring to see a story with wonderful rich and real characters brought to life on film.This film is great for any age. It will resonate with anybody who still believes in love. I'd totally recommend it to anybody who likes grounded, character driving films that are done well.

This movie wasn't shot with a big budget and Brangelina type cast members. The story line is direct, simple and easy to follow. The cast members made it believable and memorable. Like Dickens showing us the way with his character, Scrooge, this story reminds us that it's never too late open our hearts to the world around us, and mends our ways.Unrelated to the story: I was a Tekkie for years through various incarnations of the show. Who knew that Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) could direct such an honest, sincere film? Maybe being in front of the camera has its benefits as it seemed the cast was allowed in interpret the script and give genuine performances.
