Radio Mary (2017)
Mary (Kate Lyn Sheil) lives alone. She is waiting for something to happen in her life. Riding the elevator to work, a strange man, Hayward, grabs her shoulder and speaks to her telepathically. “Do you believe in magic?” This triggers a nervous breakdown. After a visit to the emergency room, Mary goes to stay at her sister’s house, and goes into therapy. Mary can now hear people’s thoughts, and she starts hearing music that seems to be broadcast from her mind. Adapted by Gary Walkow from his novel of the same name.

Excellent, Without a doubt!!
I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Amazing paranormal thriller, plunged in the typical liquid atmosphere of an indie film. Kate Lyn Sheil is Mary, a vaguely blankly water-and-soap girl with a huge personality complex; she falls under the mind control of a mysterious stranger and starts a morbid connection with him, kind of Freudian and magic. A very intriguing story, not gory at all (blood scenes are "covered" by a strange iridescent halo coming from killed people), full of gloominess and narrated in a hushed voice.
