A Brilliant Conflict
What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.
There is definitely an excellent idea hidden in the background of the film. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find it.
Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
Nothing to add about the story, acting, etc. One comment i would make is that the music was a perfect match for the film.
The film Shuffle (2011) offers audiences a rare treat: a thought provoking, emotionally gripping story suitable for a family audience. Exceedingly well written, with powerful acting, excellent makeup and special effects, and incredible lighting and photography, this beautiful film both entertains and inspires!The plot unfolds gradually in the beginning. But soon Shuffle captures the attention of viewers through a series of intriguing events. Populated with fascinating, yet believable characters, the movie contains many outstanding moments. It addresses profound issues within the context of daily events in a masterful way.The central character encounters a challenge apparently so unusual that he cannot believe his own dilemma. He encounters disturbing clues along the way from unexpected sources. As a narcoleptic, he struggles with temporal issues- but this film goes much deeper, to present a reality extending beyond the superficial confines of time and space.This movie offers a great treat. Don't miss this one!
Gosh!!!! I wish i could give this movie a 10! After seeing "Validation" short movie so many times, i was already a fan of TJ Thyne. Well, he does not disappoint in Shuffle, neither any of the other actors. The plot is clever, the photography is amazing (the B&W really works!), and time flew by as i was living the story... until the VERY END almost ruined it all! I agree with other review here... After those last minutes, i felt like i was slapped on the face, after being swept away! I did not understand the need of that last scene, as everything falls in place without it.Watch it if you can. It's a very nice piece of cinema art! P.S: Only after yesterday's episode of "Bones" i realized that Thyne is Dr. Jack Hodgins!! Maybe my head was focused because i was "getting shuffled" latter on!
This outstanding story of a man living his life out of order and his search for answers satisfies viewers on many levels. Dancing somewhere between "Memento", "It's a Wonderful Life" and a Twighlight Zone episode, the acting is heartfelt (including that of my brother from Fox's hit series "Bones") and while the production is low budget, the heart of this film delivers big! The story of Lovell Milo, whose last name seems first, jumps from youth to old age and everywhere in between while taking the audience through a dramatic journey beset with pride, love, loss, hope, despair and rebirth, sometimes simultaneously. This is a crowd pleaser!
