Bride Of Killer Nerd (1992)
Former MTV personality Toby Radloff charmed critics and audiences alike in the Academy Award®-nominated 'American Splendor', and now you can see where he got his cinematic start! Toby plays Harold Kunkle, king of the nerds. Harold's been pushed beyond his meek limits and now seeks bloody retribution throughout these two hilarious and horrifying shockers. As witty as 'Revenge of the Nerds' and as violent as 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', Killer Nerd has a wide appeal among fans of horror, comedy, and cult cinema and that goes double for 'Bride of Killer Nerd!'

Awesome Movie
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
This is as cheap as you can get but its also well-executed for a 2 cent movie about a killer nerd. The actress who plays the female nerd is very endearing and game, plus I thought it was well edited and photographed throughout (the makers produced MTV skits before this, starring the nerd). The plot is flimsy and full of lame clichés, but there's enough weirdness and bad 90s fashion to entertain a modern viewer who is VERY desperate. There's some casual racism in the treatment of the film's only black character, so be warned. He's depicted as a lying, lusty clown who is constantly berated by just about every white character (why is he around them?). Doesn't help that he's named "Tom". So this is a typical find for lovers of bad shot-on-video movies.
Harold Kunkle finds a girlfriend in the second installment of the Killer Nerd saga. Less entertaining then even the dubious value of the first film. Does pick up a tad towards the ending, but not nearly enough. The punchline being the girl nerd is more blood-thirsty then Harold I guess. Also, (and this is nether here, nor there) but I thought it strange that a black guy is invited to the party, when everyone obviously hates him and ridicules him. *shrugs*My Grade: D-Troma DVD Extras: Intro by Lloyd Kaufman featuring gratuitous nudity; Commentary with Toby Radloff and director Wayne Alan Harold; Interview with Toby; Toby and Lloyd Kaufman in Akron, ohio; Purple Pam music video; 2 PSA's; Trailers for "Citizen Toxie", "Tales from the Crapper" and "Suicide"; Shameless plugs for Lloyd's book and website (comes in a double-feature with "Killer Nerd")Eye Candy: Rachel (Mimsel Dendak) gets topless in a shower scene
Bride Of Killer Nerd is to Killer Nerd as Bride Of Frankenstein is to Frankenstein: a sequel that improves on the original. Harold meets Thelma, the ultimate female nerd, and they fall in love. After being thoroughly humiliated, they embark on a killing rampage even more over-the-top than Harold's spree in the first film. As an added treat, there is a party sequence with a really rocking band plus a nicely done homage to Alfred Hitchcock. A dandy of a low budget black comedy/horror flick. Filmed in the Cleveland area with a wonderful abundance of bad taste. I loved it!
This is the sequel to KILLER NERD -- the saga of Harold Kunkle continues. It starts out with a real Hitchcock-Twilight Zone style laugh and ends the same way. The film is the story of two nerds who find love -- a Thoreau and an Emily Dickinson of the 90s, both suicidal and both out for revenge. There is a little bit of Bobbitizing and cannibalism along the way just for fun. The film is quite witty and rather well done for a low-budget independent.
