Wow! Such a good movie.
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
The movie really just wants to entertain people.
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
WHAT REALLY FRIGHTENS YOU? is a typical low rent indie horror anthology based in New York. A journalist wants to write an article about peoples' worst fears, and three individuals are subsequently interviewed. However, they soon find themselves menaced when their fears are realised. The best thing you can say about this film is that they used professional cameras and that the direction is pretty slick, making it look professional. Sadly, the material itself is entirely lacking and this is about as far from frightening as it gets.
