Wild Zero (1999)

Waste of time

One of my all time favorites.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

I really don't know what to think about Wild Zero. Some parts were funny, other were weird and some were a bit stupid. What didn't work for me was the use of cheap CGI and some blue keys. The CGi looked cheap and the way they killed the zombies was always the same, shooting the head of the body. Once you have seen that you have seen the killings. The way the zombies looked were also laughable. But overall it looked more like a comedy then a horror. The effect of the UFO's had a fifties look as did the rock band. And towards the end the use of laser effects and special lights also looked cheap, in fact, the whole film had a independent eighties look. Not gory at all but still watchable even as it has a few weirs situations.Gore 1/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 2/5 Story 3/5 Comedy 1/5

This should not be named Wild Zero, but Absolute Zero. The worst movie I have ever seen. Incredibly bad acting, horrible plot, an absolute waste of time. People who make such crap should be shot to death. This is garbage, garbage, garbage and even more garbage. I have no words to express my disgust. It is horrible, horrible, horrible. Stupid, idiotic, moronic. Don't waste your time. Sticking nails into your head would be more fun. What the fock was wrong with this junkie director? Did he eat shiite for breakfast? Did the focking zombies eat his brain? Why the fock should I write ten lines? One line is enough: this is the worst piece of crap ever produced.

This is not spam. We loved this movie so much we named our band after it! Zombies! Drinking! The loudest Ramones loving Japanese band in the world! Amazing. The special effects are awesome. It truly is sad that Bass Wolf died, he will be missed. I don't want to be a spoiler, but the twist on the love story is a great lesson. There are NO BOUNDARIES IN ROCK AND ROLL!!! Playing the drinking game will surely land you on your rump. Those little beer glasses KEEP popping up. hahaha. I wonder if Guitar Wolf will ever pay again? ROCK AND ROLL. We hope that our music carries the lessons that this movie and the AMAZING band are trying to tell us here. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE FUN! DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK. KILL ZOMBIES AND ALIENS!
