Not even bad in a good way
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Princesa Xuxa e Os Trapalhões is one of the best movies of Renato Aragão and his gang. The story, which resembles to Star Wars and other fantasy movies, is about a planet (a chronicle for Brazil and Earth it selves) dominated by Ratã, a conqueror, and where princess Sharon is kept without knowledge of the acts of the tyrant, who expelled the elders and slaved the kids of the kingdom. Now, it's up to three lazy princes and a unnamed and also lazy knight to save the princess, set the kids free and bring down Ratã. With all these elements, Princesa Xuxa e Os Trapalhões is a great mix of fantasy, sci-fi and lots of comedy, with great gags, especially from Didi and Mussum, and a lot of fun, a movie that today still makes a lot of success in Brazil.
