Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

It seems like a childish joke or a failed attemt to create a low budget horror movie but it is a pure satire aiming at so-called "civilized europeans". It's questioning what is behind a smiling face of a human who cares only about his physical comfort. The resulting picture is not pleasant. The audience wouldn't accept it if it was told directly. They might even call it "intolerate" which is like a death penalty these days. That's why the idea is burried under shaking camera and stupid plot.

A group of Russians are on a shopping spree to neighboring Finland for quality products. The bus ride lasted all night, and don't worry you aren't spared a moment. Stas is an irritating teen boy who knows and films everything with a shaky cell phone camera. All the pictures are shaky. He does not get along well with his mom and the two have been at odds the whole trip. Dad passed away a month ago.The shoppers detour to a new store, designed just for the. Once in, the store is locked and the Finns start to kill and eat them. Mom and son must now team together.Normally cannibalism in a story such as this symbolizes economics. Clearly the Finns are feasting off of tourist, bloating themselves off of Russians wanting quality products. The shortness of the film, the lousy camera work, and the irritating characters made for a bad film.Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity.

This is an interesting low budget horror movie from Russia. Why there's potential in this flick is because of the storyline. Imagine yourself (mother or father) with your kid in a foreign land hunted by a pack of cannibals. Pretty scary enough being a foreigner who can't communicate with the locals but even worse that you are hunted and you have nowhere to turn to. The movie knows its limits with restraining budget so it cleverly uses certain scenarios to set up a few good scares and provides enough emotional chaos to keep you interested. Although a lot of yapping and unrealistic situations (ie. using a mobile to film nonstop without draining the battery) this film still proves entertaining. If Hollywood ever remade this with bigger injection of funds, I think this could be a great hit.

I went to see this movie at Titanic Film Festival in Budapest. The small theater was barely even half-full, but we were in for a real treat. It's almost a no-budget film having made from less than $70,000, but it feels like every single penny was well spent. I learned from the director who spoke after the film that there were no special effects in the movie, everything was done by the make-up artist who made a brilliant job. What got me to see this movie in the first place was the crazy synopsis which made this film stand out from the otherwise great festival line-up. This movie can be pitched with just two words: Finnish cannibals; and it's enough to make you go: "What?!".It's not a gore movie, but still shows plenty of gory stuff, although only for really short time each, sometimes half a second, so you really have to pay attention. As the story goes everything is recorded by the main character on his cellphone. There is not much depth to it, it won't leave you thinking about the meaning of life or anything. However, it's a good comedy, with very subtle and very dark humor. For me, though, the most stand-out element was the cinematography. Some scenes happened so fast, but were so well choreographed that I will have to watch this movie again at home. The only downside to this film is that it's short, being only 70 minutes long. In overall it's a true gem and it's a must for horror comedy fans. Or even aspiring filmmakers as you can see how to make a really good movie from next to no money.
