I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

I think based on this rating that has been given, it is by most likely by people who have SPDS (Sarah Palin Derangement Syndrome) and didn't even see the film. I have shared this with friend who are not politically aligned with me, and they found it very informative. But if people want to truly be open minded they'll watch it and not take the lies and bait that HBO and the left wing offer. See http://www.reelz.com/undefeated/ for time and channel this Sunday Mar 25 5:30 PM I saw Game Change and it was Garbage. Sarah is quite smart, not at all like the phony portrayal HBO produced based on a disgruntled quite disgusting set of Steve Schmidt fabrications and prevarications.

To start with, I thought this website (imdb) was about films, documentaries, and the occasional TV shows and series. I also assumed that the user reviews were of a critical nature of a given piece as it pertains to story, screenplay, acting, cinematography... you know the rest. But this film seems mostly reviewed as a function of the political beliefs of the reviewer. Substance be damned. It's similar to people that hate Woody Allen movies not because of his film work but because he's been accused of child molestation. I like many of his films, but I don't need to like him.I would contrast this film to the film 'The Iron Lady', which got very high ratings. I reviewed it with poor ratings based on the lack of content, not because I like or dislike Margaret Thatcher. Like 'The Undefeated', I wanted to know more about Thatcher but, in this case, walked away with no clue as to her career in office, only an image of a pitiful old lady who couldn't possibly have lead Great Britain as she did. Thus, a negative rating based on a very poor story/screenplay.I watched 'The Undefeated' to try to learn a bit more about someone who seems to always be slammed by the press but without much substance as to why. In this film, I got a lot of information which greatly helped me to understand where she came from, what she did, and how she has become so hated by the media. I won't elaborate on the media hate in that that's a political statement and as I've implied, this has no place in a review of a film based on the merits of production. On a negative note, I didn't care for the choppy edits or the UTube-like fragments. I find that style distracting. I believe this is the director and editor(s) fault. What's funny though, is I've seen this type of cinema work before but the films weren't politically charged. The positive reviews liked this style and considered it as 'edgy' and 'street real'. At least one negative review of 'The Undefeated' judged the style as amateur. Go figure. I just don't like it in any case and judged accordingly.Bottom line, if you want a pretty in depth documentary of Sarah Palin, watch this film. If you don't like what you've been told about her, why waste your time watching it?

I loved the film and as an Alaskan I have admired Sarah Palin's tenacity, integrity and boldness to do whatever it takes to rid politics of corruption. The film was a very refreshing contrast to the dung heap that is the main street media. It is unfortunate that so many intellectual light weights buy into it. Sarah Palin represents all that is good in America. She is strong, quick witted, intelligent, charismatic, and is representative of the everyday working class individual. Sarah Palin believes in fiscal responsibility, small government (as was the intention of our founding fathers), and a strong military. As the film indicates, she has set the liberal left into a tail spin and has been prominent in changing the discourse in American politics. The paid Soros' hacks writing the negative reviews don't know quite what to do with her. I am not a friend, relative, nor do I have any connections to Sarah Palin, just an everyday working class person.

"Moments that surged into a wave of momentum, republican party leaders didn't see it coming." A documentary covering Sarah Palin's rise from Mom to Mayor to VP candidate and beyond. Looking at all the reviews for this, including IMDb, Amazon & Rotten Tomatoes I noticed that they were all politically biased. Palin lovers gave it high grades, haters gave it low. I'm going to try and do the first non-politically based one. The movie begins with Palin talking about Alaska in the late 90's and the Valdez oil spill. Then the interviews begin. The entire time I watched this I couldn't help but compare it to a Michael Moore movie (who I do not like at all). The comparisons are based on the entire movie is 100% one sided. All the interviews are with former staff workers of hers. I'm not saying that you should only interview people against her or not put in people to defend her, but one guy continuously compares her to Reagan while another compares her to a marine. Some of these are a little over the top. I can go either way with Palin, but I feel that she went from a politician who cared about the people and her state to a celebrity. From a governor to a Kardashian if you will. On a side note, the music was distracting. Using music that would be used at the end of a sports movie, but only a 5 second clip, that repeats itself, for 2 hours. The movie could have been a half hour shorter and not lost anything. I refer to this as a movie on purpose, I can't call this a documentary in the same way I can't call a Michael Moore movie a documentary. They are too one-sided to be taken seriously. Overall, this is the type of thing you would see at a political convention that hypes you up to see the candidate. This does not work as a documentary released to the public. On the other hand it is not deserving of all the negative politically biased reviews that it got. In hopes of staying out of a debate, and due to the fact that there is really nothing of substance in this I will not give it a grade.Would I watch again? Most likely no.
