A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

The most annoying part of the movie .. poor story.. poor poor acting by Aish and Vivek... I never liked Viveks acting after Company ... His acting is completely mediocre... and lots and lots of stpidity .. even Big B's appearance could not lift this up... a complete waste of time !!! I don't know why Aishwarya is spoiling her career doing movies like these ... and that jackass Vivek will never learn how to act unless he gets rid of his stupid jackass attitude... This movie lacks everything from a good storyline to proper screenplay ... God knows when will Indian directors learn to put in everything in the right place I would not recommend this crap to anyone... except if you want to waste your time and blame the movie in the end

wow! finally the hero of the movie is not a hero but a boy next door. i have completely identified with him. so i have enjoyed watching the movie completely.from start to end not a single scene is boring. the first highlight of the film is the screen chemistry between vivek and ash which is further enhanced by their at-that-time real-life-chemistry. they are a real treat to watch on screen. unfortunately, they are split now. but, i guess, vivek is more suitable to ash than abhishek is(he is the current beau of ash as the rumor suggests). The second highlight of the film is direction which is fantastically done by new comer samir.all in all a good time pass movie if u like novelty. not a run-of-the-mill stuff.

If you're expecting an epic like Devdas, well, this movie will disappoint you. But if you're just looking for a nice romantic comedy to pass the time, then this movie will do just that. It's delightful and charming, and will pull on your heartstrings at the right times too. Aishwarya Rai is stunningly beautiful as usual and she gives her character, Diya the right amount of vulnerability. Vivek Oberoi is endearing throughout the whole film. The strongest part of the film is the beginning, in my opinion. It progresses the fastest and most of the comedy is found there. I found the second half of the movie to be a bit slower. But don't worry, it's not slow enough to make your interest wane. Also, as a bonus, Amitabh Bachchan makes his appearance in the second half. Although the second half slows down a bit like I mentioned, it does lead up very well to the ending. I don't understand some of the comments made that Vivek and Aishwarya have no chemistry because I thought they had it in spades. Where this film succeeds is through the characters. The movie makes you care for them, and when they're happy, you're happy, and when they're sad, you're heartbroken for them. I highly recommend this film.

I don't understand what all the hate was about this film. It was as hated by the general public in India as Gigli was hated here in the US. I think that's sad for everyone who felt that way because I truly loved and enjoyed the film. You cannot judge the merit of a film by the current celebrity gossip status of the actors in it, and I think that's what most people did with this and Gigli. Get over yourselves! Kyun..Ho Gaya Na, is a beautiful film about a boy who does not believe in love, and the girl who comes along and unwittingly debunks his philosophy. Aishwarya Rai plays Diya, a beautiful college girl from the country side who comes to Mumbai to study for an upcoming statewide exam. While there, she becomes the guest at the house of our philosopher Arjun (played by Vivek Oberoi), and quickly finds herself falling in love with him. But Arjun, ever the joker, never runs out of pranks to play on Diya and eventually plays the ultimate prank on her that sets her on fire, in the heat of all of this she admits that she loves him and immediately his attitude changes towards her. Stunned, Frightened and ultimately disappointed by his reaction to her, she runs from Mumbai before sunrise the next day. Arjun awakes to find that she is gone and pursues her, only to meet up with her again and continue with an edited version of pranks he'd earlier played on her. He is threatened when an old flame (Played by Suniel Shetty) returns to town and Diya begins to show him affection. Will Arjun finally realise that he loves Diya before it's too late? Kyun...Ho Gaya Na! Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri, Suniel Shetty and Diya Mirza all add pure delight to the film as its wonderful supporting cast.
