Now some two decades plus on, San Diego County wins more brewing medals in national and international competitions than entire US states. This is probably the most in-depth look at the San Diego's craft beer industry and history. I stumbled upon it because it was put on continuous run at the Balboa Park's Bottled & Kegged: San Diego's Craft Brew Exhibition. The makers interview all the major players - AleSmith, Pizza Port, Ballast point, Stone, Karl Strauss, Green Flash, and many others. They trace the steps of how San Diego because the US beer capital in one decade and wins more medals than other cities, states, or whole countries in the World Beer Cups. If you are interested in the San Diego beer scene and how the IPA's became so hoppy, this is a worthy film. Cheers!
