Overrated and overhyped
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Boomerang Family is a gentle film about family ties and of course reconciliation. The film follows the daily life of a dysfunctional family as the three siblings move back in with their elderly mother. The compassionate mother, despite her offspring antics, demonstrates a maternal dedication and you will be moved.Boomerang Family starts promising when it introduces the various characters in the film. You will love the chemistry among the siblings and their invectives, screams & punches will make you laugh.Towards the end, the film goes little off the rails but tries to wrap everything pleasantly which is corny. However, it has its moments and at the ends it describes the bond shared among the members of the family.6.8/10...
