Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
For me, that's one of the best Gerard Pirès' films, at last far better than the crap he made just after his long break-up, between early eighties and mid nineties. I have never understood exactly why. Yes, before he fell Under Luc Besson 's doom and the Taxi series crap, this guy was really gifted. Look for this little comedy lead by the outstanding Marielle, the perfect crook in chief. A master speaker who drives a bunch of petty thieves - Lanvin and Dutronc - in the business of door to door encyclopedia sales business. The swindle among poor people in the deep country side. Characterization is a real must see here. Look for the early Lanvin performance. Unfortunately the second part of the movie declines a little. But that's here my own opinion.
