Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.
Thus two-hour special was filmed live at the Paramount Theater in Austin, Texas.Ron White is a strange guy. He has been a comic for about thirty years, but really came to prominence as part of the Redneck Comedy movement. Arguably, he was the most successful of the bunch. (Although Larry the Cable Guy has done exceptionally well for such a one-note comic.) What bothers me about White is that he is clearly brilliant with his observations and occasional plays on words. But he has an addiction to raunchy material. And that is too bad, because even though "blue humor" is funny, it really limits the reputation of a comic. George Carlin, the greatest modern comic, had a filthy mouth, but he was never raunchy.
