First and foremost, you will not like a movie if you wish to think very little when watching the content of any movie. This is a movie about the journey inwards of a woman. A woman whose life is falling apart. The character representation of the mental states of the protagonists is awesome. The visualization capability of the director is commendable. She takes a persons life and analyzes and visualizes it in her own way. The representation can be easily related to the audience. I wouldn't say that its a great movie but it surely is a movie if you are in a thinking mood .My rating - 6/10.

Here is a small taste of what you can find posted on the director/writer's FB page (Kathern Brooks): "Hello Everyone. We Need your help. Could You Guys Make Your Vote at IMDb A 6 and also make sure to vote one-point above for another 10 movies (if the movie is 6.0, rate it 5 or 7)? This Way, Your Votes Will matter A LOT for the movie and hopefully IMDb will start giving us a rating better than 4.8. THANK YOU!! xoxox ... if you write a review on Amazon, Netflix or IMDb you will get a signed poster from Katherine Brooks!" And here is a message to people who haven't even watched it: "If You Haven't seen the movie but are waiting to see it, please give us a positive rating on IMDb, Amazon or Netflix, and when you do, say "done" here. Thank You! xoxox" This definitely explains all the phony reviews here and on other sites. I found this film extremely dull and I do not recommend it. This is just a truly bad story with trite characters (good looking, but TRITE). I hope this gets published so the public can get an honest idea of these reviews and get a clue that not everyone liked it. Also, if you saw Loving Annabelle or came across a review for this on some lesbian sites and are expecting a lesbian-themed movie here, don't. This is not a romance and this is not erotica. This is not a story about lesbians. My one star is dedicated to the presence of Elizabeth Shue who was not only gorgeous to look at, but the best actor in this film. I would also like to dedicate one invisible star to Erin Kelly who appeared a bit, but was not captured as the intriguing character we saw in Loving Annabelle. Now that's just bad, bad directing this time around... because she is capable of being one fascinating and stunning creature. Bless you Elizabeth Shue for making an appearance... you should have been the teacher in Loving Annabelle...

Waking Madison is an amazing film.  It was a long journey that writer and director Katherine Brooks allowed her fans to take with her. But it was worth every minute of it. As it is worth every second to watch this movie. It will take you deep into the psyche of a woman close to the edge. And in the end, you won't be satisfied if you watch the movie only once. Because it will leave you pondering and thinking for hours afterwards. At least for me, that was the case. The actresses' performances are great. Sarah really becomes Madison and while you're watching the movie, you will feel her pain, her confusion and suffering. And Elisabeth makes you feel, as if you are truly able to feel safe with her character- even though during the movie, you might think, that she is so different to any other therapist portrayed in other movies. The other actresses are acting great as well - I, personally, loved the character  Angel (Wendy Glenn) the most. Even though the parts of the movie, that play in the hospital reminded me a lot of the movie Girl, interrupted. Which is not a bad thing, of course. The filming is done very well as well. Not only the actresses and the story itself pull you into Madison's mind, but also the flow of the camera and the art of the pictures, the colors and symbols. That is another reason to watch the movie again - to see all the things, you haven't discovered the first time.Waking Madison is different to Loving Annabelle - but it still has Katherine Brooks' personal touch to it. A lot of it!   If you're one of her followers, you will see a lot of her in the movie - which is a great thing. If you're new to her films, make sure to learn more about this great director. It's worth just as much, as watching this movie.

This movie stamps only a clichè-ridden image of MP. This movie shows only the voyeuristic fantasy of the writer and has nothing to do with MP. The writer hasn't researched anything about MPD/DID like I guess the reviewers calling this movie brilliant and awesome didn't. The story - clichè-clichè-clichè...The execution - clichè-chlichè-chlichè. The "hallway-walk" of Madison, the spot right into a room - a woman sitting in a bathtub bathing in blood ...boring old-fashioned clichè. This movie is just a not needed repeat of clichè-ridden, superficial, trivial not needed movies. If you really want to know something about MPD/DID and/ or women who have psychiatry experiences - talk to them. If you want to get entertained - watch another movie!
