Last Hours in Suburbia (2012)

Fantastic!

Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

No Spoilers in this review.. for that. there would need to be a plot to reveal. I see some good reviews for this film, but I can't decide whether they are the usual "vested interest shills", or impressionable teenage girls writing them. It's another one of those films that had so little impact that it scarcely matters what the film title was... "Last Hours in Suburbia", "A Fall From Grace"... call it what you like, scarcely matters.! Kind of reminded me of "Before I Fall"(slightly), but nowhere near as good..!

I thought this film was good and i Liked all of the characters in it and because i cared about the characters it made me wan't to keep watching, Horror films need to learn a thing or two from this film and give us some likable characters for a change instead of a bunch of stupid characters that i don't care about. That's one of the many things i liked about this film,the Characters,most of them were very likable or at least they were to me. I liked the lead girl and i liked her best friend i thought she was really funny and cute and it was all of her Jokes and strange behaviour that made me wan't to keep watching.in my opinion she was the best Character there!. The story is about a girl who was in a car accident and her best friend died which was sad,but what i liked about the story was we got to see her friend even though she wasn't alive,i thought it was a bit strange but it was still a good idea.The lead girl was imagining her friend was with her and her friend was trying to help her solve the crime that took place that night in the car accident when she died because the main girl can't remember anything that happened from that night and she needs to remember who was driving the car so she can tell everyone who crashed it because from the start of the film everyone blamed her for her friends death and they thought she crashed the car and at first the main girl thinks she did it but her friend convinces her to investigate and eventually the girl does investigate because she knows she couldn't have done what she did because she knows she wouldn't have been that irresponsible.what i like about this film is its like a whodunit story and us the viewers have to figure out which person was responsible for the car crash,we have a bunch of suspects like the main girls boyfriend and her best friends boyfriend and a bunch of other girls that they knew and i thought it was quite a fun movie and i liked the bond the two girls had i thought it was nice that they were so close and that her friend was guiding her toward the truth of the accident. In my opinion the main girls subconscious was actually telling her what happened and her dead friend that she kept seeing was like herself telling herself something was wrong so in a weird way it was actually like she was solving the crime by herself because her friend was not actually there but i thought that's what made the story so touching,the fact that the lead girl thought her friend was with her,i thought it was kind of sweet and it made you feel sorry for her and it made you care about her best friend too even though she wasn't there. the two girls eventually do solve the mystery and i was surprised when i found out who it was! that crashed the car!,i actually never saw the end coming but when it did i was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the twist. All in all i think this film has a good story with good acting and good characters and most of the people are likable so i actually cared what happened to them and i could also relate to them. I thought this was quite a touching film and i thought that it was very emotional and well made and this film definitely deserves a higher rating for being so unique.

This was one of the best Lifetime movies I've seen. I especially loved what they did with the character of "Pete" and how well the part was played by Steven Miller. I hope to see more of Steven in upcoming projects! He's sure to be a fan favorite!! This was a particularly good-looking cast. Obviously the female leads were gorgeous young women but what really stood out were a couple of close-ups of the aforementioned Steven Miller. He is destined to be TV's newest heart-throb. But he's not just a pretty face...he is obviously very talented too.... In particular, I enjoyed that the plot kept us guessing all the way to the end. The friends I watched with kept shouting out their opinions and nobody in the group actually guessed the correct ending. Lifetime, keep up the good work and, like I said, bring us some more of Steven!!!

I tuned into this movie on Saturday evening and hesitated at first....do I really want to watch this? I deal with kids every day as an educator and it looked like just another teen flick at first, but, it soon caught me up in the emotion of a young girl who is facing prison for decisions made in one night of partying, drinking and driving. I dare say we all know at least one person who has been killed by a drunk driver.The actors were real in their characters but a couple do stand out: Malara Walsh as the girl who died and Steven A. Miller as the young man who has turned to alcohol to assuage his guilt. I also enjoyed Kelcie Stranahan as Grace.I hope this movie is viewed by lots of adolescents as a warning of what can happen when decisions are made after drinking and partying.
