For Michael Shiver, life as an easy-going cab driver in New York suddenly changes when he picks up supermodel Sarah Easton and falls head over heels in love. But Sarah has more than just passion on her mind; she also has a husband and a glamorous lifestyle that she can't seem to leave behind. At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

Its all about the poetry. Its very poetic. I own the DVD and watch it when I'm sad and need some humorous, Love, life. Really I just wish the cab driver would recite his wild anxiety poetry to the star all night. Well he's better than C Bukowski and she sure as heck better than the driver. This comedy, at on the highest... level. Top Drawer. Thank you. I definitely believe in Love, personally. Flck off... you--- no taste in reviews. there. it got enough lines... did not go to college all the way anyway... I mean how many flocking lines do you need... to rite? Anyway. It got ten lines of text! I count them! YOU ARE JUNK I AM NOT. i AM NOT PADDING I AM WRITIN WRITIN WRITING!

I thought this movie would be interesting (base largely on the "loved it/hated it" reviews on this forum), but instead felt it was pretentiousness wrapped up in the Freudian wish fulfillment of its writer/director/lead actor, Eric Shaeffer. This whole movie seems to be Shaeffer's tribute to his own ego- of course the world's most beautiful woman would find him to be fascinating! It's kind of like a Woody Allen film in that sense, but without any of the humor or talent.Kudos to Shaeffer for making an ambitious independent film, but it just reminded me of an arrogant "artist" trying to show the world how awesome he thinks he is.

I loved the film and was shocked and moved by the superb ending. It is the kind of ending that makes you sit up and listen deeply rather than drift. I replayed the ending several times to capture the beautiful symphony of words, so beautifully crafted that the intensity of Michael's love cannot be denied.I particularly enjoy a film that does NOT have your typical mainstream actors, rather those who we hardly know. These are not "beautiful" people, but beautifully ordinary and perfectly paired for a memorable love story.Watch and enjoy.

When I caught this movie late night on a Wednesday I knew I wasn't in store for the best made film of all time, never the less I watched it until the end. The voice-overs were the largest point of contention for me, especially when they contained what was herald as "Poetry". They did nothing to forward the plot and did not give intelligence and charisma to the character of Michael. The other issue I had was the mini-flash back flash forward effect used in certain scenes. I saw these scene stutters as more annoying than artistic. The character was Michael was the most unrelatable, unbelievable character. I think he was suppose to be this perfect man that ever girl secretly wishes she had. Instead he comes off as completely unrealistic. He does no wrong, he's sensitive and patient. He has secret money and is wise beyond his years. He knows exactly what Sara wants and everyone loves him. I don't understand,he gives up writing because he can't deal with the fame? He never thought of using a pseudonym? He just gave up instead. I don't think the writer had this in mind but he seems to hide from situations he can't control. Sara is more rounded but still her character has zero depth( at least she had flaws). My thoughts were she is using Michael to slum it for awhile until figures out what she wants and then to get back at her husband. She's 28 (as stated in the film) which is like 40 in model years yet that is never explored. I also felt like the majority of camera angles and lighting were more flattering to Michael and left Sara looking odd and just awful in some scenes. This movie seemed more like a ego-centric glamour piece to it's seemingly narcissistic writer- producer-actor, than a movie about love and relationships. I didn't care about Michael and Sara and I don't believe much time and effort was put in to achieve that goal. The only characters I wanted to know more about were the Lesbian Dinner friends, sadly they were under-developed. I was really young in the 90's of maybe this was what was called "artistic," I just hope that it wasn't
