The army of the Marauders, led by King Terak and the witch Charal, attack the Ewoks village, killing Cindel's family. Cindel and the Ewok Wicket escape and meet Teek in the forest, a naughty and very fast animal. Teek takes them to a house in which an old man, Noa, lives. Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

Don't bother to look any connection to Star Wars. Movie was lot closer to basic fantasy with few laser guns. Ewoks aren't that brave jungle-tribe they were. Just bunch of glass-eyed fat idiots fooling around. Stuffed replacement for Three Stooges x 10Effects can't be called special. Harryhausens creatures from early movies are at least on the same level with two-legged lizards in this. Bad guys wear very stiff and lifeless rubber masksMost disgusting thing in this movie was still main character. I've never hated child actress this much. She looks more like coming from make-up for children's beauty contest then middle of forest. Main point seems to be make her look as cute and clean as possible, and take care she reads all her lines in most annoying childish tone. After these things pissing me off so much, I don't have any reason to comment about plot or other fails of the movie.

What the hell is this!? That was my first reaction to this film (actually, my first reaction contained more swearing). This isn't Star Wars! Star Wars is space battles, this movie has none. Star Wars is the Force, this movie only has a retarded witch with a magic ring. Star Wars is lightsaber battles, this movie hasn't got any battle worth mentioning. Star Wars is humor, this movie isn't. Star Wars is a galaxy far, far away, this movie has HORSES in it!!! Besides all of this, how did Lucas get the insane idea to let a five year old baby do the leading role !? Big, big disappointment. Do you like Star Wars? Don't watch this! 1 out of 10

This story of an orphaned girl and the lovable teddy bear ewoks is no masterpiece by far, but still is a great family movie. I loved the ewok movies as a child, and I believe that generations of children will love it in the future. 7.4 out of 10.

This is one of the great movies of the 80s in MY collection that I think about all the time. Back in the early 80s there were two good movies about the the Ewoks from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Both film have the spirit of the Star Wars film in MY opinion and especialy ROTJ. Both films are sad in a way but they are never boring and both have good special effects and the whole nine. Both film has some great music aswell! Seeing Wilford Brimley in this film is a treat. The begging is quite sad but this feature is never boring and like the other its action packed. Fans of Brimley and Star Wars should see this!
