This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

Madaari (English: Puppeteer) is a 2016 Indian social-thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. It is produced by Shailesh Singh, Madan Paliwal, Sutapa Sikdar, and Shailja Kejriwal. The film stars Irrfan Khan, Vishesh Bansal, Jimmy Shergill, Tushar Dalvi and Nitesh Pandey and was released on 22 July 2016 A 10 year old child, Rohan, is kidnapped from his hostel. Rohan is the only son of the Home Minister. The army and the CBI storm into action. CBI officer Nachiket Verma (Jimmy Shergill) heads the case and gets restrain order from all the other security agencies to make sure that the kidnappers don't panic and kill Rohan. Initially the case is thought of mistaken identity wherein the kidnapper might have tried to kidnap the friend of Rohan, Cheeku who was also drugged while kidnapping.I have mentioned again and again how impressed I am with Irrfan Khan's steady rise in Bollywood. He is becoming the undisputed people's champion with films like these I have mentioned again and again how impressed I am with Irrfan Khan's steady rise in Bollywood. He is becoming the undisputed people's champion with films like these. I enjoyed his performance in Billu Barber(2009) and again in The Lunchbox(2013). In this film he is at the pinnacle of his acting prowess. He has managed to make tears fall from my eyes at many points in this film. This is a powerful psychological drama and very relevant in today's world. The effect new digital technology is making in spreading information quickly around the world is shown in this film. Smartphones are by the billion in India, and then we have the newer iPads. So technology wise, a lot has changed in India. The age-old problem of government corruption in India is re-emphasized. Before I forget, I would like to mention the superb music in the film by the veteran music director Pritam. He has directed music in such hits like Dhoom(2004), Gangster(2006), Jab We Met(2007), Race(2008) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan(2015).More film recommendations: Aakhree Raasta(1986), Hatya(1988), Dayavan (1988), Prahaar: The Final Attack(1991), Indian(1996), Yeshwant(1997).Very special mention Kireedam(1989). This blockbuster film was remade in Hindi as Gardish(1993) directed by Priyadarshan. Kireedam has a sequel film Chenkol(1993) which was never dubbed or remade in Hindi.

It is another great movie by Irrfan khan. It is social thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. Another meaningful movie of this year,it is head on impact on our corrupt system of country .its a real story which tells us that what is going on in our country. A 10 year old child, Rohan, is kidnapped from his hostel. Rohan is the only son of the Home Minister. The army and the CBI storm into action. CBI officer Nachiket Verma (Jimmy Shergill) heads the case and gets restrain order from all the other security agencies to make sure that the kidnappers don't panic and kill Rohan. I personally liked the most about this movie is that it has pointed out the fact that what might happen in real-life and what we pay to see in reel-life if any commoner takes such a bold step .Initially the case is thought of mistaken identity wherein the kidnapper might have tried to kidnap the friend of Rohan, Cheeku who was also drugged while kidnapping. I liked concept ,direction music of the film……every one must watch the movie.

I must say Nishikant Kamat is a great director. I thought his movie Force was good. I absolutely adored Drishyam, Rocky Handsome was just above average. And here is Madaari one of the most awaited Bollywood movie of 2016. So how is Madaari was it entertaining: Yes. Was it perfect: NO. I still have a few flaws with the film which I will list at the end of this review. So the movie basically revolves around a man who's son dies in a man-made disaster then he later decides to kidnap the minister's son to fill his life with the love of a boy and that's your movie. So let me tell you my final verdict on Madaari. I liked the direction of the film, I liked the acting of the film, I liked the concept of the film, I liked the music of the film but I just didn't like the second half of the film which takes off a few points of it off because I thoroughly enjoyed it. And that is why I give Madaari a 7.5/10. 73% or B+
