Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Well I have watched a few terrible movies in my life but this truly is up there with the worst of them, you have it all:Poor or next to no real script, actors who seem unsure who's line it is next so just look menacing at each other, very poorly lip synced dialogue, at least I hope it was lip syncing otherwise get these guys to a speech therapist! The films premise while not original (bad rich men hunt poor farmer girl for sport and money) could have worked much better than it did, script writers day off I guess; fight scenes that were very poorly choreographed and seem to be cut and sliced by the director in quite a random fashion. There is a lot of running about in the forest, baddies turning on each other, main character whilst very pleasing to the eye seemed to have no other purpose than run, fall down, run again, hide fall down etc etc. The Dark Web part is misleading as there really is no internet thread through the film really, other than they recruit the baddies from the dark web, and it's splashed all over the to monitors as a screen saver in the control room. And then we come to Danny Glover, some like me might expect any film he is in to be at least half decent, think again, even he couldn't do anything with this script, not that you saw much of him anyway, he made occasional appearances via TV link and generally made it clear how unhappy he was at the lack of innocents being slain. The ending of the film, or almost end, sees him on the TV screen having some sort of fit, presumably having just received a copy of the script and realising what a total pile of @*%! This film was. Spoiler alert!!!The ending truly sucks, lead character having escaped all that had gone on gets run over by a car and then bundled in the boot, car drives of and role credits! Is she dead, who are these guys in the car, they were shooting at thegirl, hunters and anyone else earlier on the film, but their purpose never truly explained? So in summary, if it was so bad why did I watch it to the end?Honestly, I don't know, perhaps I thought at some point it would all make sense, or just improve a little maybe, in any case it was none of the above and frankly 1 star is too generous but they don't provide negative points. Well I have done my good deed for the day, you have been warned, I watched this film so you wouldn't have to.

"DarkWeb" is the sort of pointless, convoluted, nihilistic mess that makes you wonder if maybe the invention of film as a story telling medium was a bad idea. OK, it's not that bad. But it misses that mark by not very much. My reaction to this film is the same as Roger Ebert's when he had to review movies like "Chaos" before he passed away from this mortal coil: Why was this film made? What was the point of rubbing our noses in all this grim heartlessness and sadism? Were the film makers trying remind us that there are human monsters out there? We KNEW that. Add some pretty amateurish acting and dubbing here and there; massive overuse of a few digital CGI techniques that are apparently supposed to remind us that, hey, all the participants are on camera, and we are the voyeurs; individual character actions and decisions that make no sense in context; and a gratuitously mean stinger ending that both robs audience of any sense of release AND goes on two minutes too long...and you've got a turd of a screenplay that you don't need to see. Oh, yeah, Danny Glover is in this. But he's a talking head appearing on a TV screen. And even as a talking head, he's not very good (I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, as I doubt any actor could have done well under the circumstances.) And Oliver Gruner is also in this; he's OK, given that 90% of his role is glowering and looking grim and swearing revenge.(Again, I think he did what he could with his part and the role). I gave this three stars in spite of my reaction to it, because: the movie begins with a burst of energy as a para-military convoy rolls across deserted countryside accompanied by urgent orchestra music on the soundtrack; because I like Oliver Gruner and wish he could have been given more to do; because the young blonde woman who is the object of the hunt is quite statuesque and striking and the camera loves her; and because I think the film makers made the film they wanted to make, and even if I hate it, I recognize that a lot of work went into it. But don't waste your time with this one unless it's late at night and you're fairly drunk and in a really weird, hate-the-world mood.

This movie tries to do so much but falls flat with a very bad story bad acting bad dubbing and cheesy effects. A character we grow to think is bad then good turns out to be bad still and makes no sense. The main character or i think that is what she was supposed to be is absent a bunch and just pretty much either over or under emotes. Danny Glover is in this movie and early on is the best thing and then later on it just gets confusing till it gets to the point seeing him is annoying. there are scenes where they deliberately cut away from actors mouths and faces when talking to avoid showing the bad dubbing and there are parts where no dialog is interchanged and everyone just knows what is going on. Somehow the main room became a time chamber because everything that happens in there does not effect time-line outside unless it needs too. I do not understand the point of killing off literally everyone but i guess they wanted to go for a devils rejects style, I Don't Know. some shots are really shaky like camcorder in the hand shaky and other shots look like they used a cheap drone. I can't be too harsh because they are not big time so i wont smash them on tools they had i would say work hard and try to do better. Story was really just super convoluted and even when the credits rolled i was just lost and confused. all in all if your looking for a movie to kill time or drink and laugh at the absurdity of then maybe check this out or maybe look elsewhere for a movie.

I can't believe haw bad this movie is, the acting is simply terrible, I guess the whole movie had a budget of 20.000 $ and they had to finish it in a week. The only good thing in the movie is the lead actress Petra Silander because of her looks, everything else (her acting too) is stunningly terrible. The story is thousand times seen cliché and the fighting scenes are bad to mediocre. An example how a movie should not be made.It should have been some combination of "Hunger games" and "Hostel", or thriller with a horror elements but fails miserably. I guess the director knowing that the script is disaster rented his friends for free so the movie can be filmed. You will feel sorry for your time.
