Neil, Will and Simon receive an invite from Jay to join him in Australia whilst on his gap year, who promises them it’s ”the sex capital of the world”. With their lives now rather dull compared to their hedonistic school days and legendary lads holiday, it’s an offer they can’t refuse. Once again, they put growing up temporarily on-hold, and embark on a backpacking holiday of a lifetime in an awful car, inspired by Peter Andre’s ‘Mysterious Girl’. Will soon finds himself battling with the lads to do something cultural, whilst they focus their attention on drinking, girls, and annoying fellow travelers.

The whole setup for this is pretty lazy, the story is a series of poorly constructed and clunky cutouts that don't really fit with the what made the series and even the first film tick, and the whole thing feels a bit like squeezing the last drops out of a desert-shriveled bladder. Nevertheless, there were still quite a few moments where I cackled my head off, and there was enough of the familiar humour there to make this enjoyable, despite being crap.

Review: I wasn't a big fan of this movie because I'm not really into this style of comedy. I'm sure that this film will appeal to a certain type of audience but watching 4 teenagers going around Sydney doing silliness, didn't appeal to me. I wasn't a big fan of the first movie but I thought that I would give this movie a chance because of its box office success. This typical English comedy seemed more silly than funny but the chemistry between the 4 teenagers was believable and we'll acted. Personally, I just couldn't get to grips with the jokes and the strange script which went a bit too far in some scenes. On the plus side, you do end up sticking with the movie because you want to see what happens to this bunch of misfits, but the storyline goes from one extreme to the next and I didn't really find it that amusing. Disappointing!Round-Up: If your fans of the series or the first movie, then this movie is for you but I struggled to stay interested. Although every character is completely different from each other, they all seem to do stupid things which anyone in this day and age would find really embarrassing. Anyway, the makers of the film should be pleased because it has had the biggest takings for an opening week ever, in the English comedy genre, so my comments will most probably not go down well with a majority of its audiences. Budget: N/A Worldwide Gross: $63millionI recommend this movie to people who are into their English comedies about a group of friends who go to Sydney to meet up with there friend so they can have the holiday of a lifetime. 3/10

Inbetweeners 2 movie review. So after there successful 3 seasons as well as a great movie the boys are back for a sequel and this time find themselves in the one and only Australia. The 2nd movie follows pretty much the same story as the first one did which i didn't have a problem with because after all if it ain't broke don't fix it. With that said i do feel like this film had some flaws and being a big fan of the series as well as the first film i was kind if disappointed by this entry to the franchise. So at the beginning of the film we find that will is at university and Simon and Neil have come to visit him. Soon after they receive an email from the 4th inbetweener jay who is living out in Australia or as he calls it "the sex capital". So the boys decide to fly out to go see him and from there the gags ensue. One positive that i can give this movie is the fact that the 4 boys chemistry is still intact and each character plays his part well. However this is were i think one of this films biggest problems comes from and thats in some of the characters. My main concern was with the character Neil. Everyone who is a fan of the show knows that Neil is definitely not the smartest of the bunch and we understand this. However in the 2nd movie they take it to a whole new level. He is 10x dumber than he has ever been literally every time he spoke it was just frustrating to watch. However the other 3 inbetweeners seem like there normal selves.Another problem that i has with this movie was the fact that it just wasn't as funny as the first one. Im not saying that this film isn't funny because it is but just not as funny as the original. Also all the funniest bits of the movie were more practical jokes rather than dialogue based jokes which is what made the TV show so great and its a shame that we didn't get to see much of that in the movie.Overall the inbetweeners 2 is not as good as the first one but does have its moments of laughter and is worth a watch. If they were to make a third film then i would watch it i just hope that they tone Neil's character down a bit and have more dialogue based jokes which are what made the inbetweeners in the first place7/10
