The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

This one of the scariest monster movies ever made. The first Lake Placid was good movie. But this one was better. It was scarier. It has great acting. It also has great story line. It also has great special effects. Some people at lake in the country side battle with killer crocodiles. If you do not like this movie it is your business. But it is not my problem. Nor is the problem of the cast and crew you all did a great job. John Schneider is a great actor. This is one of the best horror movies ever. If you do not get scared of this movie. Then you will not be scared by any movie. It would be bad movie to people who don't like monster movies. Sarah L.a.f.l.e.u.r is a great actress. Sam M.c.M.u.r.r.a.y is a great actor.

So here we go, after part 1 we do have a franchise with the croc wandering around in Lake Placid. This one do actually pick up a bit on the original one with the part of the old lady feeding to raise crocs in the lake. But that's it.As were the effects in part one rather well done especially on the part of the animal itself here we have a big laugh. The opening credits did say it, a ScyFy release. The CGI used for the croc must have been made with a C64. Sometimes it's believable but there are parts that you just say, huh. And then the croc is enormous and in other shots it's just a big animal. Funny was to see John Schneider again, famous from Dukes Of Hazzard as Bo Duke. But indeed so far the good news. It's really the CGI that makes this a big huh adventure. And in some shots you see the actors looking towards nothing and reacting wrongly because the croc wasn't there at all of course. The only thing at the lake that is worth watching is the Kleenex moment, pure gratuitous nudity. Even the croc staid underwater when those girls were showing it off, but once you think okay, this is boys stuff the funnybags are been bitten, stupid croc...Gore 0/5 Nudity 1/5 Effects 0/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5

For a Sci-Fi Channel production featuring a cast of has-beens and nobodies, this cheapo sequel to Steve Miner's fun creature feature Lake Placid begins deceptively well, with some nifty gore (a juicy spurting stump where an arm used to be) and some gratuitous nudity from a couple of soon-to-be-croc-fodder bimbos.Lake Placid 2 soon flounders, though, when we actually get to see its terrible scaly monsters, which are rendered with such dreadful CGI that the film is rapidly dragged down to the murky depths and thrown into a death roll from which it could never escape.Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider plays Sheriff Riley, the small-town cop who must do battle with the four giant crocs that are feeding on anyone who should venture down to the water's edge at Lake Placid. Aided by tasty ex-squeeze Emily (Sarah Lafleur), and a big-game hunter armed to the teeth with heavy-duty firepower, the plucky lawman sets out to bag himself some reptiles before they make a meal out of his son, who has ill-advisedly gone camping by the lake with some friends.Director David Flores' unimaginative sequel desperately attempts to emulate Miner's original, even going so far as to feature almost identical characters and narrative structure, but fails dismally on nearly all counts. Without a fraction of the original's humour, and way too many REALLY bad digital effects, Lake Placid 2 is one hell of a bad film. Even the fact that the lovely Lafleur strips to her undies for an underwater swim isn't going to convince me to rate this one any higher than a 3.

I am absolutely stunned that this "movie" actually made it to completion. You would have thought that somebody would have had the common sense to cease production early on,just for humanitarian reasons. I think I may be permanently scarred for the 60 minutes or so that I can never get back. I actually lost some brain cells by watching this. Awful acting by everybody, even the dog. Awful special effects - middle school quality. Awful dialog - grade school quality. This movie is truly as bad as you can get. The bottom of the barrel. I never thought ANY movie could come close to the horrific drivel in Showgirls but I was wrong. People, this movie is as bad as it gets. Everybody associated with this garbage should be shot. If you haven't watched this movie, don't even consider it. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
