The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

This movie is garbage. I thought i found a nice entertaining comedy from across the world based on the IMDb rating it has, but I was wrong. This so called comedy is full of obvious childish jokes disguised as "parodies" and predictable punchlines and situations, you may think the humor didn't translate well because I'm not from Turkey, but I don't think that's it.Granted this is the first Turk movie I ever watched, but humor can be a universal thing, and comedy is capable of breaking cultural barriers, but this is not comedy, this is just a foolish attempt to make a movie out of a bunch of ideas for "funny sketches", but the jokes are obvious, they felt outdated and worst of all simple, like the kind of jokes a child will tell you, just one step away from "Why did the chicken cross the road?".The worst part is that there is a sequel, but the only way I would ever watch that (or this movie EVER AGAIN) is if I was forced in a "Clockwork Orange" fashion strapped to chair. Movies like this shouldn't exist.

oh, what a great movie that was! i was 13 years old when this movie came out. i watched sixty times already...i still remember all scenes, all movie lines.. all cast are compatible and endear themselves to viewer. great combined with comedy and science, i have to say special effects are not great, but it's not a big budget movie. if you're not looking for a perfection, you can blink the fact. inspired from "Turist Ömer Uzay Yolunda" movie. i never forget this movie! great job Cem Yilmaz! this movie is definitely on my "best of comedy" list in top ten.Brilliant!

Turkish comedian Cem Yılmaz ("Her Şey Çok Güzel Olacak" & "Vizontele") and director Ömer Faruk Sorak ("Asansor" & "Vizontele") re-unite to spin-out a sketch from the former's "Bir Tat Bir Doku" stand-up show into a record-breaking Turkish box office hit.Turkish tour guide and carpet salesman Arif (Cem Yılmaz) is abducted by the evil Commander Logar (Cem Yılmaz) and taken to Gora where he is chosen by the mysterious Garavel (Özkan Ugur) to rescue Princess Ceku (Özge Özberk) in an uninspired comedy set-up.Cem Yılmaz puts in a rather insipid performance as the stereotypical Turkish every-man Arif but comes alive in his brilliant turn as Commander Logar with solid support coming from the likes of Özkan Ugur, Rasim Oztekin, Ozan Guven and the gorgeous Özge Özberk. The film-makers' three year struggle with budget and technical problems paid-off with a convincingly realised sci-fi movie pastiche that acts as a magnificent backdrop for a tired series of parodies and gags that are more well-worn than one of Arif's carpets."I learnt to look at life from a different angle."

Maybe it's highly time to produce realistic original films for the Turkish movie producers. When I went to see that movie I just thought I could see something different and I could laugh.Well what did I find? Cem Yilmaz who just tried make people laugh with his expletive goofs? I was pretty surprised to hear people laugh when Cem Yilmaz hurled his billingsgate all over the theater? Has anyone of you seen someone who watches a Hollywood movie laughs just because he or she has heard someone saying "Bullshit or F*ck in English. I don't have to pronounce the Turkish FOUL-MOUTHED words he uses to make people laugh. And viewers..they are conditioned to laugh everything that man says..And what is that about parodying Matrix or something like that. If you wanna see a parody of a block-buster go and rent Scary Movie that will do. This movie is nothing than a pot-boiler.
