Bill Dancer and his young companion Curly Sue are the classic homeless folks with hearts of gold. Their scams are aimed not at turning a profit, but at getting enough to eat. When they scam the rich and beautiful Grey Ellison into believing she backed her Mercedes into Bill, they're only hoping for a free meal. But Grey is touched, and over the objections of her snotty fiancé.

A homeless man and his young companion, who survive by conning people, meet a woman who may need them even more than they need her. Curly Sue although is known as a comedy it's more of a drama to be honest and the messages that it sends like for example family being more important than a simple job is something that we don't see that often in movies this day and age. As for the perfomances? Kelly Lynch is amazing and i loved her perfomance and character, James Belushi is also terrific and little Alisan Porter is adorable as Sue. Overall this is an optimistic, dramatic but also funny movie that is more than just fine. (10/10)

This movie is a good and cute father-daughter partner film.I watched the film 3 times on Encore on Demand on Xfinity. This film is about 2 con artists partners.1 of them is a cute little girl.and the other one is a man that is her dad. This movie is quite funny and little inappropriate. This film is not just for kids or teenagers but also good for adults/parents to watch. This film is another film that gives you relationship/sex advice after My Girl 1&2.If you saw this title on demand and you decide not to watch it Because you thought it would be childish, then your missing out and its not childish at all.It has a lot of swearing and adult conversations and it has 1 character dealing with the attorney about their marriage. So if you like My Girl 1&2,Annie,and other films that gives you relationships/Sex advice, then you will like it.do i recommend this to: Toddlers or Infants:No.this movie is unsafe to them.under 10 kids:yes but under supervision.kids over 10:yes. Teenagers:Yes.Adults:Yes.its OK if you watch it alone or with a girlfriend/wife. You or yall will enjoy it.seniors:probably not unless you watch it with grandkids or family. Now for my review: The story:the story is about two con artists conning people to survive and they are father and daughter.so its pretty good.i like it. Music:the music sound so cute just saying. Its good too. Cast:pretty good.prefect actors and actresses for the roles. Curly sue actress:she is a cute little girl that has curly hair like annie 1982 actress and her voice sounds like Mara Wilson(actress of matilda.she acts like annie actress in 1982 annie sometimes in the.film. Graphics:none just live action film.but its a little foggy. Out of all of those:i rate this film:9/10

Curly Sue feels like a peaceful feel of nostalgia, although it was released in 1991, months after Terminator 2 and during the second season of Seinfeld it feels like a 80's film. Belushi's style of humor is always pretty fun and his circumstances are not depressing in the least, as a drifter with the lovable, sassy and amusing 9 or 10-year old daughter, the title character who was designed as an updated Shirley Temple. But in this a gag that occurs several times was his being knocked in the face, the ploy that was first used when the impeccable con artists meet the female lead (Kelly Lynch) who plays a (seemingly) cold, career oriented woman to whom they con a bill of fare off of and she turns out to be very caring, but their relationship is hindered by her snooty, contemptible fiancée (character actor John Getz). Steve Carrell made his film debut as an upscale restaurant employee. The production feels like a 80's era Hughes comedy, but devoid of much of the racy content. The films point seems to be the value of love and friends "quality of life" over materialism and money.

My daughter, her friends and I have watched this movie literally dozens of times. I bought it twice and some little girlfriends absconded with it. Subsequently, I rented it so very many times. It just never gets old!!! Blockbuster doesn't even have it in their listings anymore and I have tried to buy, find, rent it for over 5 years. Without a doubt, this was and is my most favourite movie of my daughter's childhood...it has it all! We laughed, we cried, we discussed real life and how hard some children have it in the world. There was nothing pretend about this movie. We related to every second and every line Bill! Thanks a million for restoring our faith in human nature. Sincerely, Shelleen and Kailin Vandermey. Craven, Saskatchewan. CANADA,eh!!! :-)August '07 update:Who are we to judge if a rich woman falls in love with a poor man; or a man who has love chooses to raise a child who is not his own. It may not be my or your life. It is not only believable, it happens every day. Thank God! Keeps my faith in human nature alive!!! celebrate!!!!
